This is what we call a warm InStyle welcome! Last night, InStyle Editor Ariel Foxman brought together his designer pals and industry veterans to celebrate InStyle‘s newest team member, Style Director Melissa Rubini. “I love being able to see the InStyle team,” designer Zac Posen told us before taking his seat for the intimate dinner at Lafayette, the new cozy French bistro in downtown Manhattan. “They’ve always been a very ingratiating family, which is very rare and very special in fashion. There’s actually a family mentality and a community.” Indeed it felt like a family at the event, where guests including Girls star Zosia Mamet, actress Yaya DaCosta, designer Rachel Roy, and more dined family-style on ravioli, wood-grilled tuna, and braised short rib entrees before digging into milk chocolate mousse and chocolate-almond tortes for dessert.
