Hugh Jackman’s First Wolverine Photo Is Out

Holy ab alert! It’s no secret that we love us a nice six pack, but when we saw this just-released photo of Hugh Jackman from The Wolverine, we have to admit we were completely mesmerized by his mind-boggling (and beyond jacked!) midsection. Scary blade hands aside, Jackman looks like he’s gotten into the best shape of his life—and that’s saying a lot!—for the role, which is the first self-titled reprisal of his X-Men character. The film isn’t slated to hit theaters until July, so there’s still a while to go before we can fully feast our eyes on his rippling obliques. In the meantime, come December, you can catch Jackman alongside Anne Hathaway in Les Miserables, which we are guessing will feature a slightly less ab-centric performance.

Oprah Winfrey and Hugh Jackman stopped by a special screening of Disney’s’ new comedy, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, out August 15th. Scott Sanders, producer of The Color Purple, in which Winfrey starred in 1985, hosted the screening, held at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. Hugh Jackman on Anne Hathaway’s Haircut: ‘It’s Sexy!’

Before Hugh Jackman accepted his Special Tony Award at Sunday night’s ceremony, we caught up with the megastar on the red carpet to talk about something else very important: Anne Hathaway’s newly-shorn hair. “I thought it looked really cool,” Jackman told InStyle.com of his Les Miserables co-star—he plays Jean Valjean, while Hathaway is Fantine. “She did it live. She’s hardcore that girl. She’s hardcore!” And he’s right—you can see her real tears in a trailer for the upcoming musical, which hits theaters in December. So does he like it? “I think it looks kinda sexy, don’t you?” Jackman said. What a compliment!

Les Miserables Trailer: Hear Anne Hathaway Sing

Your first look at Les Miserables is here! The epic Broadway hit is taking its turn on the big screen come December, with The King Speech’s Tom Hooper directing a star-studded cast. Anne Hathaway as Fantine is the main focus of this short trailer, with the actress belting out the story’s signature ballad “I Dreamed a Dream.” Coming from Anne, the tune is raw and emotional—as is seeing her signature long locks get chopped off on-screen (fast forward to 1:03). We also get glimpses of the rest of the Hollywood cast as French revolutionaries, including Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thénardier. Master of Ceremonies Hugh Jackman welcomed fellow Aussies Naomi Watts and Isla Fisher to the fourth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on New York City’s Governors Island.
