Elin Kling on Her Marciano Collaboration: It’s a Lot of My Personal Style

Nov 12, 2012 @ 3:32 pm

Swedish fashion blogger Elin Kling, creator of Style by Kling, has two new (major!) accomplishments to add to her already impressive resume! After being tapped as the inaugural blogger for a design collaboration with H&M, Kling is now the first-ever person to partner on a collection for Guess. “I’m very honored!” Kling told InStyle.com at the Bloomingdale’s launch of her just-released Fall 2012 collection, Elin Kling for Marciano. “I’ve been very involved with everything, even the marketing. I’m pretty annoying to work with because I want to know everything!” The blogger is associated with her easy-to-replicate street style, which during the cooler months, Kling told us, includes plenty of large scarves and sweaters, like the ones (shown at right) she designed for Marciano. “I definitely have a lot of my personal style in there,” she told InStyle.com. “It’s something you can see. I think people have seen me wear large knits, and I always wear big turtlenecks—you can find all that in the collection.” The Jonna Oversized Sweater is currently sold out on guessbymarciano.com, but the cropped version is available for $178. Hailee Steinfeld Used to Model for Guess and Gap

Feb 24, 2011 @ 3:00 pm

We’re excited to see what True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld will wear to the Oscars this Sunday. Already the Best Supporting Actress nominee’s fashion choices have been admirable, wearing dresses by Prabal Gurung, Marc Jacobs, Prada, and Marchesa, to name a few. Turns out, she’s had good practice for red-carpet posing—Steinfeld started as a model! “I signed with a print agent before I signed with a theatrical agent, so I had been [modeling] for about a year before the acting really started to pick up for me,” she told Vanity Fair, adding that her first job was modeling for Gap. She also modeled for Guess Kids, and we got our hands on one her campaigns (check out an 11-year-old Steinfeld inset). Perhaps that’s when she first learned to love stripes!
