Where did the biggest stars of the Grammys go after the show? To party with InStyle! We teamed up with Warner Music Group—along with Heineken and Mini Cooper—to co-host a post-Grammys bash at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where stars including Amy Smart, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Abbie Cornish (in Roland Mouret) stopped by to celebrate music’s biggest night. “I love music and grew up with music,” Cornish told InStyle.com. “For me, music comes from the very beginning of my childhood. My parents played certain CDs, and they stay with you.” Rocker Sting, who attended with wife Trudie Styler, kept up the high energy of the night following his performance with Bruno Mars and Rihanna during the Bob Marley tribute. “I thought it was a really great show,” Sting said. “The acts were great and the atmosphere was wonderful, and I was very happy to be part of it.” Click through to see more stars who celebrated the Grammys with InStyle!

Carrie Underwood’s Grammys 2013 Performance Dress: All the Details!

Feb 11, 2013 @ 9:45 am

Carrie Underwood truly lit up the Grammys stage! When she started singing “Two Black Cadillacs,” her custom silver Theia dress came to life by projecting images that reflected the somber tone of the song. “On my last tour, we did an LED dress so I think that kinda sparked it,” Underwood told reporters backstage of the dress. “We wanted it to be artful and dramatic. There are so many big performances at the Grammys, I just like to stand still and sing sometimes. So this was the best way to do that, and it still created something visually attention capturing and beautiful.” Theia creative director Don O’Neill custom-designed the dress for Carrie in 80 hours over three days, using French fabrics hand-selected by the singer and her team, including 10 yards of Duchess Satin and 100 yards of tulle and crinoline. (Fun fact: the inside corset is hand embroidered with thousands of Swarovski crystals!) “When I received the call from [Carrie’s stylist] Trish Townsend asking me to make the dress, I felt a rush of excitement and immediately said I’d be thrilled and honored to design a gown for her,” O’Neill said in a statement. Watch the performance in the clip above!

Watch Justin Timberlake’s Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards

Feb 11, 2013 @ 8:40 am

For his first performance at the Grammys in six years, Justin Timberlake was not only was able to rouse Jay-Z to the stage from his seat next to Beyoncé, he also worked his magic to change the color scheme on the TV broadcast! As soon as he hit the stage to perform his single “Suit & Tie,” the broadcast went from full technicolor to sepia, in keeping with JT’s love affair with the big-band aesthetic of the 1950s era. And now there’s more of the Tennessee kid to look forward to—a tour. “We’re still putting it together,” the star told E! host Ryan Seacrest before the show. “I don’t know how much I should say.” His album, The 20/20 Experience, comes out March 19, and will be available at Target with two exclusive bonus tracks. Search #MoreJT to keep up with the year of Justin, and watch his Grammys performance above, including another new song, “Pusher Love Girl.”
