Did you catch the new episode of Mad Men last night? The season six premiere had its share of inspirational beauty moments—hello, brunette Betty Francis!—and that made us think of the slew of ’60s-inspired looks we still see on the red carpets of today. That’s why we rounded up our favorite retro beauty looks that would feel right at home among Megan Draper’s swingin’ sixties wardrobe, including Emmy Rossum‘s super-defined crease, Padma Lakshmi‘s nude lip, and Ginnifer Goodwin‘s flared lower lashes. Click the photo to see the ’60s beauty trends celebrities love, along with tips on how to get each look.
For the past two seasons on ABC’s Once Upon a Time—a new episode airs tonight at 8/7c—we’ve gotten sneak peeks at Ginnifer Goodwin‘s Snow White in her fairytale past as quite the sneaky bandit. And those are the scenes Goodwin tells us she loves most, because whether she’s running from the huntsmen in season one or ingeniously trapping the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) in season two, she’s happiest when she gets to don her fairytale bandit wardrobe. “My favorite thing to wear on the show is a tie between last season’s Snow White bandit-wear and this season’s Snow White regal bandit-wear,” she revealed at the the 30th Annual PalyFest in Los Angeles. “Basically when I get to wear the leather pants and boots!” Tell us: Which of her favorite looks do you prefer?

Now this is a look we love! The cat-eye liner Ginnifer Goodwin wore for the Milk + Bookies 4th Annual Story Time Celebration had just a tint of blue in it, and we’re obsessed with how it mirrored the cerulean stripes in her outfit and the azure of her eyes. “I went with blue eyeliner by Bobbi Brown,” Goodwin told InStyle.com at the event. “It’s kind of fun for a morning!” She chose Brown’s Denim Ink shade, an ultra-dark navy that contrasts against Goodwin’s eye color so much, it made them appear even bluer. “It’s early, so I need that,” she added with a laugh. If you want to emphasize your baby blues like the star, follow her lead and apply a sweep of cornflower-hued liner. The almost-black shade brings out the natural cool tones in your eyes. The Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Denim Ink is available for $23 at bobbibrown.com.

Every Sunday, some of our favorite fairytale stories come to life on Once Upon a Time—and the magical special effects aren’t the only reason why it’s all so believable! Senior Costume Designer Eduardo Castro creates stunning costumes for stars Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, and more that look like they popped right out of a storybook. “We really don’t have to use our imagination that much,” said Goodwin (who plays the show’s Snow White) at PaleyFest when asked how the costumes help her get into character. “We really are in these worlds.” It’s not to hard to imagine it! Memories! The week just ended and we’re already fondly looking back on our Monday to Friday on Instagram. Over the past few days our editors went to PaleyFest in Los Angeles to catch up with Ginnifer Goodwin, stopped by Marshall’s in New York for a peek at Maria Menounos‘s spring shopping picks, and contributed to the awesome #ThrowbackThursday hashtag by posting our first cover girl, Barbra Streisand. See more of this week’s best photos in the gallery, and stay up-to-date by following us at @instylemagazine on Instagram.
There are many perks to being Ginnifer Goodwin‘s boyfriend—as Josh Dallas will tell you—and, in fact, Josh Dallas did. One reason he’s in love: She inspires his fashion. “She’s a fashionista,” the Once Upon at Time star told InStyle.com at the PaleyFest panel discussion of the hit ABC show in Los Angeles this week. “You got to keep up and try to be as stylish as she is.” (Cue the awwws.) And they’re not the only pair to work in fashion tandem. Click through the gallery to see more couples with similar looks.
While Once Upon a Time fans watched a new episode last night, the creators and cast of the hit ABC show, including on-screen mother-daughter-pair Ginnifer Goodwin (in Raoul) and Jennifer Morrison (in Ralph Lauren), chatted all things Storybrooke at a panel discussion during the 30th Annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles. And they revealed some secrets: Stay tuned for a “Welcome to Storybrooke” episode, which will take us back to 1983 during the characters’ first week in the cursed Maine town, plus see the Lost Boys get found and more Peter Pan characters come to life in future episodes. The magic never ends!
