The 4th Annual Fashion 2.0 Awards were held at the SVA Theatre in New York last night, where some of our favorite designers and their teams were honored for their tech savvy! The “Digital Oscars,” as they’re affectionately called, were hosted by Simon Doonan and Robert Verdi, who handed Diane von Furstenberg, Gilt Groupe, and Anthropologie some of the top awards of the night for their Twitter, Pinterest, videos, and more. Marc Jacobs and Saks Fifth Avenue took two honors each, and DKNY was named “Best Twitter” for the fourth year running. Congratulations, everyone! Click to see the complete list of winners after the jump. And tell us: Which of these designers to you love to follow online?

Target & Gilt Groupe Join Fashionable Forces

Aug 18, 2010 @ 3:08 pm

Two of our favorite retailers for discounted designer fashions, Target (with those never-ending capsule collections) and Gilt Groupe (and their sweat-inducing flash sales), are teaming up. Starting Friday at noon, three of Target’s newest designer collabs—Tucker fashions, Mulberry bags and John Derian decoupage—will be sold exclusively on Gilt.com before they’re even available in stores. Get online early, though: The sale will only last through the weekend, with limited merchandise available. If you’re too late, you can snap up Tucker’s pieces starting September 12th and Mulberry’s, October 10th. Until then, we’ll be dreaming of a less-pricey-but-equally-chic Alexa-style inspired Mulberry bag (at right).

Get Michelle Obama’s Moschino on Gilt Groupe Now!

Aug 2, 2010 @ 5:12 pm

We’ve been following Michelle Obama‘s style since she hit the campaign trail in 2008, so we’re well aware of her penchant for Moschino‘s bright artistic floral prints. Now several of the styles she’s worn are for sale on Gilt Groupe: The Cotton Floral Print Jacket in Pink Multi is selling for $499 (normally $1,480) and the matching skirt is going for $299 (normally $745). Other printed styles that would probably earn Mrs. O’s seal of approval are available as well. But hurry—the sale ends tomorrow!

Gilt Groupe to Sell Swarovski CFDA Designs!

Jul 20, 2010 @ 6:28 pm

Swarovski and Gilt Groupe have joined fashionable forces—today, starting at noon EST, the glittering Swarvoski CFDA Collection created for the 2010 CFDA Awards will be available for purchase exclusively on Gilt.com. (Note: if you haven’t joined Gilt Groupe yet, you’ll need to get on it before the sale goes live). The coveted, one-of-a-kind pieces from designers like Prabal Gurung (white dress, far right), Alexander Wang, Jason Wu (blush dress, right) and Dana Lorenz (necklace) are starting at around $1200 and will be awarded to the fastest-fingered online shopper. And if the pieces’ rarity doesn’t have you sold, the charitable bent will: All proceeds from this one-time sale will benefit the CFDA Foundation’s Educational Initiatives, which provide support and resources for aspiring designers at the high-school and collegiate levels.
