Found It! Rashida Jones’s Crisp White Outfit from Zara

Apr 26, 2013 @ 3:10 pm

Rashida Jones epitomized casual cool when she showed up to the City Year event in Los Angeles this week in a crisp white blazer, pleated cropped pants to match, and a soft gray cotton tee. “This is Zara actually,” the Parks and Recreation star revealed to InStyle.com. “Zara is literally my favorite place. I love it.” Jones paired the brand’s linen blazer ($90) with the faux leather-topped trousers ($60), and then layered a basic ribbed T-shirt underneath ($20). Rashida’s style stayed true to her love for “architectural clothes and menswear” without being overly masculine. Head to zara.com to start shopping her look now.

Louise Roe Tells InStyle All About Her Fashion Star Outfit, Week 6

Apr 12, 2013 @ 2:30 pm

This dress is a true showstopper. It’s made by my friends [Connie Majoros and Fannie Chan] who run their own New York-based label, Femmes d’Armes. The first time I saw it on the hanger, my jaw dropped! I paired it with super cheap Zara studded heels that I’ve had in my closet for years, some plastic bracelets I got at the Valentino party last year, and a crazy ring from Topshop. I love to mix high and low. For the hair, we wanted to give it a messy boho vibe to balance out the glamorous feel of the dress, so for the first time ever, I tried a braid. At first we added a hair piece, but it made the braid so long and full it felt unnatural, so last minute right before I was due on stage, we whipped it out and threw together a new braid. I love how it turned out!

The Designer Behind Olivia Palermo’s Sunny Look: “I Love Her Ability to Make a Style Completely Her Own”

Apr 11, 2013 @ 10:30 am

Olivia Palermo brightened up the New Yorkers for Children Spring Dinner Dance in this sunny design—“I feel like Big Bird!” she told InStyle.com—and also brightened the day of its designer, Katie Ermilio. “She’s one of the younger designers I really want to support,” Palermo said of why she chose the look, a silk cap-sleeve piece with a jewel neckline and tulle-lined skirt, which she accessorized with a jeweled Zara belt and a clutch and shoes by Jimmy Choo. And Ermilio appreciates the style star’s encouragement: “I love Olivia’s ability to make a style completely her own,” the designer said. (Fun fact: Ermilio is the granddaughter of Grace Kelly’s personal clothier.) “She’s always making me see my clothes in new ways which is amazing.” This look also affirms women should be unafraid of yellow: “It’s one of the best colors for spring! Mix up a little yellow dress with a jeweled belt—it makes for a perfect spring date night outfit.” A version of the dress with a shorter skirt is available exclusively at Barneys New York ($2,750 at barneys.com).

Spring Accessories Shopping: You’ll Wear This Black Tote Everywhere!

Mar 28, 2013 @ 2:10 pm

InStyle‘s editors scoured the racks for the perfect spring accessories—and this is one you should definitely add to your list: a black statement tote. While the piece is an obvious classic, it’s also the perfect match to spring’s bold graphic prints (like these Marc Jacobs‘ stripes) that you wouldn’t want to distract from with an equally grabby accessory. To try the look yourself, pick up this Zara bowler, available for $90 at zara.com.

Her outfit for the bash was quick, easy, and simple—“it’s a little peplum action with cute pants, which I love,” she said—and most importantly, wallet-friendly. Pippa Middleton’s Animal-Print Zara Dress Makes a Comeback

Oct 12, 2012 @ 2:09 pm

Just like her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton is getting in the fall spirit by shopping her closet. The red animal-print dress the royal-in-law and soon-to-be author wore to party with her sister at Loulou’s in London this week, is actually a look from Zara that we first spotted her wearing last November. This week, she paired the dress with a short blazer, Comptoir des Cotonniers’ Nelle boot, and a camel bag, though we much prefer the original debut, with black knee-high boots and a longer jacket. See more of Pippa’s best looks in the gallery.

Celebrity-Inspired Look for Fall: Kristen Stewart’s High-Shine Blazer

Sep 3, 2012 @ 6:00 pm

Here’s one celebrity look we’re coveting for fall: Kristen Stewart’s high-shine Roberto Cavalli blazer that she donned at the Teen Choice Awards. Instead of your basic black and gray, try a jacquard, sequined or organza jacket to really standout. Pair it with leather pants or a classic pencil skirt for an ultra-chic fall look. We love this sequined polka-dot jacket from Zara—pick it up at zara.com for $129 and click through the gallery for more star-inspired fall pieces.
