The ladies may have stolen the show in red, but the men gave them a run for their money! Best Supporting Actor nominee Leonardo DiCaprio looked handsome in a classic black tie tuxedo by Tom Ford, Ben Affleck, who won Best Director and Best Picture for Argo, chose an unconventional navy three-piece tux, Bradley Cooper, Best Actor in a Drama nominee for Silver Linings Playbook, also wore a Tom Ford suit, and presenter Robert Pattinson went with his go-to red carpet designer, Gucci.

Anne Hathaway has been traveling the globe to promote her upcoming movie, Les Miserables, the sweeping Broadway musical-turned-film that opens nationwide Christmas Day, and she and her cropped ‘do have been lighting up the red carpet in edgy black and white looks. The actress wore a caped Tom Ford Spring 2013 gown and gladiator sandals to the New York City Premiere; in Tokyo, she donned a keyhole black dress from Antonio Berardi’s Spring 2013 collection; and in London, Hathaway dazzled in a beaded backless Givenchy couture gown from the Spring 2012 collection. New Girl Star Max Greenfield: “I Want to Be Tom Ford for a Day”

He may have been wearing head-to-toe Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers to the InStyle and HFPA Miss Golden Globe party in Los Angeles last night, but when it comes to New Girl star Max Greenfield’s fashion crushes, he’s got his eyes on someone else. “I’d love to be Tom Ford for a day,” Greenfield told InStyle.com. “I’m a very pale person, but Tom Ford has that dream tan. Across the board, that’s who I’d like to be.” And what would he do if given the chance to live Ford’s very stylish life? “I’d set up a photo shoot in Milan,” Greenfield told us. “It would be on the coast, for sure. It would be Penelope Cruz and it would be just superb. I’d be wearing a stunning suit with a shirt unbuttoned most of the way.” We don’t think it’s too far of a stretch—they both have that brooding, sexy stare!

Scandal Costume Designer on Abby’s Evolving Wardrobe

Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) isn’t the only one with designer duds on ABC’s hit D.C. drama, Scandal! Co-star Darby Stanchfield, who plays Abby on the show, steps up her style this week in a super-slim Vince leather jacket and blue silk blouse paired with a Diane von Furstenberg pencil skirt and envy-inducing Tom Ford handbag. Costume designer Lyn Paolo clued us in on Abby’s fashion evolution: “In this episode Abby is investigating for Olivia, so I liked the idea of her looking very private investigator on the job,” Paolo told InStyle.com. But as last week’s episoide hinted, Abby’s romantic entanglement with Pope & Associates foe David (Joshua Malina) will complicate things. Could love be in the air? If her wardrobe is any indication, we think so. “Because of [Abby’s] relationship with David, I am using a lot of softer silks and less pants than we have in the past,” Paolo said. Bradley Cooper on His Style: “I Ask My Mother How I Look”

Bradley Cooper donned a silver three-piece Tom Ford suit with pinstripe detailing to last night’s Hollywood Film Awards in Los Angeles, where he picked up the Hollywood Actor Award for his role in Silver Linings Playbook, out November 21. In the movie, Cooper plays Pat, a former psych patient who moves back in with his parents—and his character isn’t the only one looking to his folks for life guidance. “[To get ready for tonight], I took a shower, put the suit on, and asked my mother how it looked,” Cooper told InStyle.com of his primping process. “She’s amazing.” So, does Bradley always turn to his mom for sartorial advice? “I did today!” he said. “I’m not going to ask my dog. That would be strange.“

Tom Ford on New Son: “We Are Very Happy!”

Last week, Tom Ford and partner Richard Buckley announced the arrival of son Alexander John Buckley Ford into the world on September 23rd. So how are the proud new dads doing? “We do have a new baby, but we don’t talk about that,” the famously-private Ford told InStyle.com at the Hammer Museum’s 10th Annual Gala in Los Angeles, where they attended to support the arts organization. “But we are very happy, yes.” Declining to comment further, he did mention that they will be spending most of their time in England. “We live mostly in London, and it is rare that we happen to be here in L.A.,” he said. Congrats again to the new parents!
