Kate Middleton’s Great Fall Coats

It’s getting cold in London, but Kate Middleton is fully prepared (like always) with some chic outerwear. The Duchess of Cambridge helped launch of the Football Association’s National Football Centre at St. George’s Park on Monday in knee-high black Aquatalia boots and the heather grey Reiss Angel coat from the fall 2010 collection, which she cinched with the brand’s Betony belt. The next day she repeated the look with a different color palette—an aubergine coat by an unnamed independent British designer, a look she first wore last Christmas Day for the royal services. And finally, she partied in London last night (with Pippa!) in all black, including a long, tuxedo-style coat. No one does warm-and-toasty outerwear quite like this princess!

Kate Middleton’s First Public Speech: Listen Now

Mar 19, 2012 @ 10:40 am

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge gave her first public address todaynearly a year after she married Prince William—at EACH’s Treehouse Children’s Hospice in Ipswich, England, an organization that supports children with life-threatening conditions and their families. She began her speech by thanking the crowd and giving a nod to her royal man, who she said would have loved the facility. “A view of his, that I share, is that through teamwork so much can be achieved,” she said. “What you have all achieved here is extraordinary.” For her wardrobe choice, she gravitated toward one of her go-to colors, sapphire blue (it matches her ring), and chose double-breasted dress by Reiss. And it looks like she pulled this one out of her mother’s closet—according to Kate Middleton Style, the dress dates back to 2008, and it was a piece her mother first wore to the Royal Ascot in 2010. Watch her entire speech above, and tell us what you think in the comments!

Kate Middleton’s Day at the Downs! See the Photos

Jun 6, 2011 @ 12:30 pm

Kate Middleton and Prince William stopped by the Investec Derby at Epsom Downs racecourse this weekend, where Middleton continued her bridal style in all white! The Duchess of Cambridge topped off her floaty chiffon Reiss “Peacock” dress ($375, not online) with a structured Joseph jacket and a sparkly clutch and nude patent pumps, both by LK Bennett. Though Middleton stuck to her go-to brands for the outing, she mixed things up a bit by styling her signature long strands into a chignon updo, topping it off with a beige fascinator. This marks one of the only times she went out with the hair up and it looked fabulous! Click “See the Photos” for shots of Kate’s Derby look, plus other royal moments of the weekend!

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Engagement Photos: What They Wore

Dec 13, 2010 @ 10:30 am
Kate Middleton and Prince William Engagement PortraitsMario Testino

Prince William and Kate Middleton just released two official engagement portraits—one formal and one casual—shot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, and Middleton chose clothes straight off the racks of British stores for each of her outfits. For the formal portrait, the princess-to-be wore a cream dress with a draped collar by Reiss, a London-based label that launched in 1971, (the “Nanette” dress will be reissued in Reiss stores worldwide in January), and earrings by Links of London. The Prince wore a suit by British label Turnbull and Asser. For the more casual shot, Middleton wore an ivory blouse by British retailer Whistles; William wore a Turnbull and Asser shirt and a V-neck sweater by Italian brand Bruno Cucinelli (which Testino lent the Prince himself, the Telegraph reports). Middleton stayed true to her elegant, classic style, keeping her choice of colors, makeup and accessories minimal, so that the only item that truly stood out was her sapphire and diamond engagement ring, of course.
