Oscar de la Renta for The Outnet: See the Full Collection

Feb 22, 2013 @ 12:49 pm

In anticipation for the release of Oscar de la Renta’s lower-priced line for Net-a-Porter’s discount sister site theoutnet.com (available Tuesday, February 26), we have a sneak peek at the 23-piece collection and the campaign video starring Olivia Palermo (which you can watch above). For the collection, the designer revived some of his iconic runway looks (think: florals, cinched waists, and flowy blouses) and reinterpreted them for a fresh take. “Oscar de la Renta is one of the most iconic American designers that every girl dreams of wearing,” Palermo says in the video. “His collections are full of pieces to keep and cherish forever.” And with prices starting at $315, his high-fashion, ultra-feminine creations (much loved by stars like Zooey Deschanel, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jessica Biel) are much more attainable. “This exclusive collection gives shoppers the opportunity to tap into a piece of fashion history,” The Outnet’s managing director Stephanie Phair said in a statement. Click through the gallery to see all the pretty looks, and then head to theoutnet.com this Tuesday, February 26 to start shopping! More

Runway Looks We Love: Oscar de la Renta

Feb 13, 2013 @ 3:45 pm

Starting with the very first dress to hit the runway, it was clear Oscar de la Renta created a ladylike-with-an-edge fall collection for his New York Fashion Week show. The glamorous lineup included modern separates (his version of the skirt suit was cinched at the waist for an ultra sexy silhouette), bright dresses, sheer illusion tops, and, of course, dramatic gowns we hope to see on the Oscars red carpet later this month. The models’ ever-changing lip colors, elbow length gloves (scrunched down for extra attitude), piled-on citrine and teal jewels, and oversize Patricia Underwood hats amped up the collection that floated by the front row VIPs, including fellow designers Diane von Furstenberg and Valentino Garavani. See our favorite looks in the gallery!
