It’s official: Temperatures are on a steady decline. But instead of digging out your sorry excuse for adequate winter accoutrements, turn to the runway for guidance and inspiration. At Tracy Reese, the designer did away with monochromaticism and topped models off with fluro beanies. Mulberry designer Emma Hill reinterpreted short-sleeves for the winter, pairing them with sexy opera-length leather gloves. From girly trapper hats to faux fur snoods, see all 10 ways to look stylish (and most importantly, insulated) amid blistering cold blizzards and turbulent winds, and you’ll have mastered the art of cold-weather dressing with the greatest aplomb.
Mulberry is changing! Emma Hill, the brand’s creative director of six years, is leaving the brand, news confirmed in a statement released this morning. Hill is responsible for transforming Mulberry from a leather goods brand to an all-encompassing, on-trend fashion house. She helped usher in the era of focusing on the brand’s clothing collection, and injected inspiration from the brand’s English roots into eccentric prints and playful silhouettes. She was also responsible for spawning some of the most successful “It” bags of the past few years, like the “Alexa” (named after style icon Alexa Chung) and the “Del Rey” (named after singer Lana Del Rey), which have been seen swinging from the arms and shoulders of fans and celebs alike. She’ll debut her final collection for the brand this September at London Fashion Week. All eyes will be on that runway come fall, and we can’t wait to find out where she’ll land next. In the meantime, we’ve rounded up Mulberry-clad and -carrying A-listers from her fan club in honor of her departure, including Kate Mara, Olivia Palermo, Kate Middleton, Kate Bosworth and Alexa Chung. Stars crowded into the Beverly Hilton last night for the second annual Critics’ Choice Television Awards, hosted by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, and many of the night’s leading ladies chose summer-friendly blush colors. (Could it have been the thought of critics all around that told them to choose the safe hue?) Celebrity stylist Brad Goreski put together the flesh-tone Paule Ka outfit for Beth Behrs, and added a pop of fuchsia with her lip. “We thought of an Audrey Hepburn type of a look and this pink lipstick and the way this is silhouetted, it kind of reminded us of her,” the Two Broke Girls star told InStyle.com. Other ladies dressed in the pale tones included Best Reality Show Host winner Cat Deeley (in Mulberry), Modern Family‘s Sarah Hyland (in Collette Dinnigan), and Best Guest Performer winner Lucy Liu (in Atelier Versace). Lana Del Rey nailed it! The singer, and muse for Mulberry’s new Del Rey it bag, inspired new manicure products for Nail Rock, too. Designers from the brand teamed up with Mulberry to create the Lake Placid nail wraps—a nod to the star’s New York hometown and standout manicures. The swipe-on strips are available at Mulberry boutiques for the global launch of the Del Rey handbag.

London Fashion Week took over the fashion world last weekend. Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth sat front and center at the Burberry fashion show, which ended with real snow falling from the ceiling. Stylish Brits Kate Moss and Alexa Chung both stopped by LFW festivities as well, as did one of New York’s most stylish socialites, Olivia Palermo. Issa designer Daniella Helayel, one of Kate Middleton’s favorites, showed her latest collection, along with Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood, and Mulberry (shown left).
