London Fog Announces Designer Rain Gear Collection Worth Splashing Around In

Need some cute new rain gear? London Fog has you covered. The brand called upon Badgley Mischka, Cynthia Rowley, and Chris Benz to create outerwear, rain boots, luggage, and umbrellas for men and women, set to debut this fall. “We love being able to add a touch of glamour to such an iconic brand,” Mark Badgley and James Mischka of Badgley Mischka said. “London Fog has such a rich heritage. It’s a fun collaboration.” And from the sketches shown here, it looks like we can expect cape silhouettes from Badgley Mischka and funky florals from Chris Benz. Shop the collection for $50 to $275 in stores, on londonfog.com, and the designers’ websites when it launches in August.

Alessandra Ambrosio, who will wear the highly coveted Fantasy Bra at this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, posed with her 4-year-old daughter, Anja, for London Fog’s Winter 2012 ad campaign, and they look adorable! Following in the footsteps of Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Hendricks, and Gisele Bündchen as the face of the brand, Ambrosio and Anja model London Fog’s latest outerwear offerings in a series of sweet shots. “Having my daughter steal the spotlight is pretty funny and I just love it!” Ambrosio said of sharing the lens with her daughter. “She had a great time on set and is going to be wearing all of the London Fog kids jackets.” A budding supermodel, perhaps? London Fog has tapped Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks to star in their latest ad campaign. Following in the footsteps of Gisele Bundchen, Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker, Hendricks shows off the label’s iconic trench coats, sophisticated outerwear and accessories from the fall collection. “London Fog is a classic brand, which I love. It also ties in to Mad Men—we used London Fog in the show and this was a nice way to tie everything together,” Hendricks said. “The trench is such an iconic shape for men and women.
