Is the end of squeezing into spandex-tight jeans nearing? It’s not entirely over, but there is a shift happening. Stars including Milla Jovovich (in Giorgio Armani), Solange Knowles (in Roberto Cavalli), Nicole Richie (in Balmain) and Elizabeth Olsen (in The Row) have adopted a more comfortable (read: roomier) alternative to too-tight skinnies with wide-leg pants. Ever since designers like Chloe and Proenza Schouler sent the wide-leg silhouette down the runway last year, the relaxed fit has become popular both on and off the red carpet. To find the right one for you, look for a pair that sits easily at the hips. The hem should skim the ground, revealing just the tips of your shoes (this may require alterations). Team a tee with a linen fabric for a casual weekend brunch look or don a blouse and blazer with a silk or satin pair for a dressier occasion. Click through to see more celebs taking the trend in stride. Tell us: Would you wear the look?

Couture Fashion Week is not like any other Fashion Week. As a requirement to be part of Couture, each designer must create designs that are custom and hand-sewn, bead by bead and stitch by stitch. Couture is truly fashion as art—each piece that walks down the runway speaks to the designers’ creative visions. That makes it that much more fabulous to watch. We’ve been looking at each of the shows—Christian Dior, Atelier Versace, Armani Privé, and Giambattista Valli among them (as seen above)—and picking out the prettiest designs from each. Click to see the stand-outs, and don’t be surprised if you spot one of these unique pieces on a red carpet soon.
As the Cannes Film Festival heads towards its final weekend, the stars are amping up the style! And with one episode left of the fourth season, we can’t to see what kind of fashion he uses to for the show’s finale. Get all the exclusive details on the looks he picked last night the gallery.
A new episode of The Good Wife premiered last night, and it touched upon a sensitive subject in the courtroom, rape. For the intense episode, costume designer Daniel Lawson put Julianna Margulies’s lawyer character Alicia Florrick in equally intense looks, like a oatmeal-hued Brioni jacket and an electric blue Giorgio Armani look. “She’s in court a lot and so it’s trying to pull her out of that court world,” Lawson explained of his choices. “I love any time I can punch her up with and bring her to the audience’s attention.
