London Fog Announces Designer Rain Gear Collection Worth Splashing Around In

Need some cute new rain gear? London Fog has you covered. The brand called upon Badgley Mischka, Cynthia Rowley, and Chris Benz to create outerwear, rain boots, luggage, and umbrellas for men and women, set to debut this fall. “We love being able to add a touch of glamour to such an iconic brand,” Mark Badgley and James Mischka of Badgley Mischka said. “London Fog has such a rich heritage. It’s a fun collaboration.” And from the sketches shown here, it looks like we can expect cape silhouettes from Badgley Mischka and funky florals from Chris Benz. Shop the collection for $50 to $275 in stores, on londonfog.com, and the designers’ websites when it launches in August.

Cynthia Rowley Customized Zosia Mamet’s Dress

Cynthia Rowley dressed Girls star Zosia Mamet for this week’s big CFDA Awards, and to make the evening even more special for Mamet, the designer gave her black and gold spring 2012 dress a custom high-to-low hemline! “The skirt was longer, and she has such great legs that we chopped it off in front,” Rowley told InStyle.com. “We’ve already seen her with no pants on in Girls so it’s OK.” Mamet loved Rowley’s alterations. “I’m a rather short individual, so I can’t wear anything that’s super short or to the ground,” Mamet said. Sounds like this silhouette was the perfect compromise!

How Twitter Inspires Autumn Reeser’s Outfits

Autumn Reeser’s sweet Tweets inspired her latest wardrobe choices. After a friend asked her via Twitter who she would pick for a dream lunch date, the actress answered designer Cynthia Rowley. “I’m a huge fan of hers,” Reeser told InStyle.com at the March of Dimes’ 6th Annual Celebration of Babies in Beverly Hills this weekend. “I’d want to know how she balances work and family. And I think she’s such an amazing, creative soul.” Turns out, Rowley was checking her feed that day. “She ended up Tweeting me back,” said Reeser. “I was really, really excited.” And that’s how Reeser chose her yellow printed dress from Rowley’s resort 2012 collection for the philanthropic event. “I am happy to wear one of her dresses here. It’s kind of amazing. I love Twitter!”
