Stylist Robert Verdi is launching his first-ever line of sunglasses for HSN today and his celebrity clients, including Eva Longoria, are already snapping up the styles. The Desperate Housewives actress just wore his Joanna rose gold frame over the weekend. “When I gave her these, she put them on while she was blow drying her hair!” Verdi told InStyle.com. “I loved how you could see her eyes with this style. She’s not the type of celebrity who puts distance between her and the world, and her frames reflect that.” And, in his opinion, your shades should reflect your personality, too. “Sunglasses are the ultimate statement maker,” he added. Soft, textured top knots—one of the season’s hottest red carpet looks as proven by Eva Longoria, Whitney Port, Jennifer Lopez and Elizabeth Olsen—is one of the easiest trends to try yourself. “It’s a younger, fresher look than the traditional ballerina bun,” hairstylist Mark Townsend, who created Olsen’s version, told InStyle.com. “You don’t want a perfect circle on top of your head. You want an imperfect shape. Lizzie and I knew one side of her bun was higher than the other and that’s what we loved about it.” To try the look at home, Townsend suggests gathering your strands into a high ponytail and adding body with a blast of Oribe Dry Texturzing Spray ($39 at oribe.com). “Braiding the hair before twisting it around the base will also help keep it from looking too perfect,” he adds.
