Matching your digits to your dress is a no-fail beauty move, but now, you can coordinate your nails and your fragrance with Essie and Ralph Lauren‘s first-ever collaboration. The famed nail brand created four custom lacquers inspired by the label’s Big Pony scents, and we love how each hue is an exact match to the blue, pink, yellow, and violet flacons. The shades are available in Ralph Lauren’s limited-edition gift sets ($45 each; Macy’s and Bloomingdales stores nationwide), which also include a 50 ML Big Pony eau de toilette, and body spray. Plus, at select Macy’s outposts, you can get an in-store manicure using the vivid hues—visit macys.com to find a location near you.

See the pretty mani-pedi combos we’re loving for spring in the gallery below.

Get the Look: Maria Menounos’s Metallic Manicure

Mar 8, 2013 @ 4:26 pm

Maria Menounos’s nails looked “extra” special yesterday at the announcement of her partnership with Marshall’s in New York City—she’s the retailer’s new Style Ambassador—and we got the inside scoop on her metallic manicure. Turns out, they were a spur-of-the-moment decision. “I realized I had no time to get my nails done, so I went into CVS and I bought Essie’s nail stickers,” the host told us of her funky fingers, which we snapped for InStyle’s Instagram. “I did them on the plane in five minutes. I was so blown away about how cool they looked that I called all the flight attendants to my seat and showed them how to do it! It’s so easy.” Menounos chose Essie’s Sleek Stickers in Sneek-E, one of 12 designs available from the nail brand. Get yours for $10.25 at zappos.com.

Mar 1, 2013 @ 2:30 pm

The arrival of March means that warmer climes are right around the corner, but if your spring vacation still seems a lifetime away, Essie‘s latest collection is sure to hold you over. The famed nail brand just launched its six-piece spring lineup (available for $8 each on essie.com) featuring colors inspired by top getaway destinations like Rio de Janiero and New York City. “Everyone wants to know my favorite city, but just like a spectrum of color, it’s not about choosing one,” said the brand’s founder and creator Essie Weingarten. The shades range from pale pastels to high-impact reds and pinks, allowing you to hit up every destination in record time—minus the TSA screenings and killer jet-lag. Ready for takeoff? Click “See the Photos” to take a closer look at the colors, and find out which city inspired each.
