Elle Fanning to Play Sleeping Beauty!

Meet the new Sleeping Beauty—Elle Fanning! The actress was tapped to play Princess Aurora in Maleficent, THR reports. In Disney’s 1959 Sleeping Beauty, Princess Aurora is 16, making her two years older than Fanning. Despite the small age difference, we think the actress is tough enough to take on Maleficent, who will be played by Angelina Jolie. The movie is set to hit theaters March 2014, and there’s no word yet on who will play the handsome prince who awakens Sleeping Beauty with a kiss. Started in 2008 by UK mom and entrepreneur Julie Deane, the label’s sturdy carryalls have recently been scooped up by celebs like Elle Fanning and Brad Goreski. “I began this company with my mum in the kitchen downstairs three years ago,” Deane told InStyle.com. “To see the bags on famous people is such a kick! It must be the same kind of feeling as hearing someone singing your song.” What’s next up for the brand? Clutches and new metallic finishes. We can’t wait!
