The New Redheads of Hollywood: Rachel McAdams, Dianna Agron, Elizabeth Olsen, and Coco Rocha

Hollywood is seeing red! Last week, Dianna Agron and Rachel McAdams both surprised all of us by taking their blonde strands to a bold crimson, and now, Elizabeth Olsen, and Coco Rocha are the latest celebrities to give their hair an auburn tint. While Rocha went the fire-engine route, Olsen’s change was much more subtle, adding a hint of red to her brunette shade. Considering the red route? Joel Warren of Warren-Tricomi Salons notes that the color is more high-maintenance, but the bold statement it makes is worth it. “Red hair has the largest molecule and is difficult to enter into the shaft of your hair,” Warren told us. “To make it last, you need products that help close the cuticle. Try L’Oreal Professionel’s INOA salon service, which doesn’t have ammonia and won’t open the hair cuticle.” Additionally, add more color-preserving products into your hair routine, and steer clear of shampoos that contain sulfates, which can strip hair color. “A strawberry blonde on a blonde base will last much longer than a rich auburn on that same base color,” he added.

The parties continue during New York Fashion WeekElizabeth Olsen stopped by Scoop NYC in the Meatpacking District to show her support for celebrity stylist Cher Coulter, who was launching her collaboration with AG Denim. “My concept was to really make it about a lot of different people: the girl that’s a bit more eclectic, the girl that’s a bit more rock ‘n roll, the girl that’s a bit more classic, and then the girl who’s a bit more of a sex bomb,” Coulter told InStyle.com of her new jeans.” Just a few blocks away at Manhattan hotspot The Electric Room, Olivia Palermo joined celebrity-loved designer Rachel Roy for the after-party celebrating lingerie brand La Perla’s new collection. See more stars partying at Fashion Week in the gallery!

While some of us have to wait until this Sunday, February 10th to shop Prabal Gurung’s LOVE collection for Target, that’s not the case for celebrities! The Nepalese designer’s A-list fans, including Carey Mulligan, Elizabeth Olsen, Rashida Jones, and Olivia Thirlby all came out to the his boardwalk-themed launch party in New York wearing the colorful pieces in the LOVE line. “I love the way he is inspired to take art and turn it into something you can wear on your body,” Thirlby, who starred in the collection’s campaign video, told InStyle.com at the event, before heading over to the stage to listen to Ne-Yo perform his hit song, “Let Me Love You.” As for Gurung himself, it all comes down to love: “It might be exasperating for a lot of other guys, but I find it really enchanting,” he said. “I just wanted to remind women, whether they’re in a relationship or whether they’re single, not to forget the essence of love.” And in these sweet date-ready designs, how could we!

Plus, see the entire LOVE collection in the gallery! Shop it in stores and target.com Sunday, February 10.

Designer Antonio Berardi Is Having a Red Carpet Moment

Sep 18, 2012 @ 4:31 pm

In the last two weeks alone, Jessica Stam, Gemma Arterton, Elizabeth Olsen, and Jennifer Lawrence have all worn dresses by London-based Antonio Berardi—much to his delight. “[As a designer], I try to enhance the female body but it’s really about the woman,” he told us following the MADE for Peroni Young Designer Awards in New York City, just days before his fashion show during London Fashion Week. “Clothes are just clothes. They’re pieces of cloth that need to be brought to life.” And ever since he started designing his own line after graduating from Central St. Martins in 1994, stars have gravitated to his looks that are as intricate with tailoring as they are sensual with their body-contouring shapes. And it’s a bonus: Having a celebrity model can mean big business. “Seeing these women in these clothes makes people want them,” he said. “Erin Wasson wore a dress to Cannes. That dress was incredibly expensive, but after Erin wore it, it sold out worldwide,” he said.”Sometimes the clothes can be the most amazing clothes in the world, but unless people see them on an amazing woman they’re not always interested.” See more stars in his beautiful designs by clicking through the gallery, and visit saksfifthavenue.com and net-a-porter.com to shop his collections.
