BAFTA Awards: Amy Adams Earrings’s Featured 1,451 Diamonds, Moonstones, and Rubies

For the 66th British Academy of Film and Television Awards Best Supporting Actress nominee Amy Adams headed to the Royal Opera House in London wearing a stunning black lace gown by Elie Saab. She added a pop of color with her accessories, including these jawdropping earrings by Faberge. This ”Katharina” style features oval pink tourmalines at the center totaling 56.37 carats. The kicker? Those beauties were surrounded by 1,451 white and pink diamonds, moonstones, and rubies, for a total of 13.94 carats in the setting. Wow!

How Nina Dobrev Got Ready for the 2013 SAG Awards!

The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev has a go-to beauty prep routine, which she used before tonight’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards! “I usually go to the Hammam [Turkish bath] in the morning to detox and freshen,” Dobrev told InStyle.com night at Entertainment Weekly’s Pre-Screen Actor’s Guild Party last night. “Then I get together with my hair and makeup team and my friends and myself, and we all just have a good time.” And her relaxing routing paid off! Dobrev walked the red carpet looking gorgeous in an Elie Saab dress.

Gossip Girl: Blair Waldorf’s Wedding Dress by Elie Saab

Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Blair (Leighton Meester) finally got their fairytale ending during last night’s Gossip Girl series finale! The couple married in Central Park with the bride dressed in a light blue lace Elie Saab gown from the designer’s spring 2012 couture collection. “When I saw the Elie Saab dress finally chosen for Blair’s wedding to Chuck, it was absolutely perfect for her,” Gossip Girl’s costume designer Eric Daman told InStyle.com. “It needed to feel like old world glamour meets contemporary high fashion.” Certainly, the non-traditional color met those requirements. “I liked the beautiful blue hue,” he added. “It reminded me of the wedding dress Wallis Simpson wore during her scandalous wedding to The Duke of Windsor.” Gorgeous!

Twilight brought in some big bucks! Breaking Dawn – Part 2 grossed $141.3 million in its opening weekend—making in the eight biggest opening weekend opening of all time—as well as $199.6 million internationally. The mega-appeal is due in part to the cast, including Kristen Stewart, who embarked on an around-the-world tour to promote the finale movie in the series and worked with stylist Tara Swennen to pack some of the boldest, brightest, and best outfits we’ve ever seen her wear. In Berlin, she shined in a gold Elie Saab dress; in Madrid, she glowed in sunny yellow Christian Dior; in London, she wore a black lace and sequin jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad; and in Hollywood, she dazzled in an illusion Zuhair Murad gown. Princess Stephanie’s Royal Wedding Dress: Elie Saab

There was a royal wedding this weekend! Belgian Countess Stephanie of Lannoy wed His Royal Highness Prince Guillame of Luxembourg at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Luxembourg on Saturday—yes, this means she’s a princess—in an haute couture creation by celebrity-favorite Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The gown featured ivory lace embroidered with silver thread leaves, three-quarter length sleeves, a silk tulle veil that was also embroidered, and a more than 12-foot-long train. According to a statement from the designer, it required 3,200 hours of work and embroidery, plus 700 additional hours of sewing. That’s 162.5 days of work! A gorgeous tiara completed the look, which accessorized her low chignon hairstyle. Just a day before, the Countess wore another Elie Saab—gray lace dress in a similar style to her wedding gown—for their civil ceremony. Two couture looks in two days? She truly is a princess now.

For a collection named “Heiress,” Elie Saab’s designs looked fittingly rich. The colors were opulent, with cobalt, white, teal, hot pink, and black in monochromatic and pattern combinations. The silhouettes looked equally lavish, with cocktail dresses and slacks blended with an array of office-ready dresses and short suits for day. No lady’s ensemble would be complete without ultra-chic accessories, and Saab offered a variety of bold heels and totes.
