NY Fashion Week Day 7: Vanessa Hudgens, Rodarte and More!

Fashion Week is winding down in New York, but there’s still plenty of fabulous fashion and celebrity sightings. Vanessa Hudgens kept up her Fashion Week rounds, sitting front row at Yigal Azrouel, Diesel Black Gold and Tibi. Meanwhile, Rodarte took us through the plains of the midwest, buckwheat prints and all, with a collection that climaxed with two ruby-slipper-inspired dresses (shown). Marc Jacobs also showed a very “deer” collection for his Marc by Marc Jacobs line, with the animal featured on dresses, accessories and shoes. And that’s not all! We loved the custom bedazzled Diesel daisy dukes that Katy Perry rocked in her “California Gurls” video, and the actress is showing off the Italian denim brand once again! In her latest video “Teenage Dream,” Perry wears Diesel’s skin-tight Livier 65Z 5-pocket jean leggings with a sexy bra top for the beach party scene, adding her own stylish signature with a few added holes and rips. The curve-hugging jeans ($170) aren’t available for purchase just yet, but you can nab your own pair at diesel.com this November.

Katy Perry’s Bedazzled Daisy Dukes

We know Katy Perry loves Daisy Dukes—after all, she literally sings their praises in her hit single, “California Gurls.” But when we finally peeped her brand-new video, we couldn’t take our eyes off her super-sparkly pair. It turns out that Diesel made them special just for Katy, with the help of her stylist, Johnny Wujek; they embellished their “Mintha” jean shorts with over 700 blue and gray Swarovski crystals. Obviously, the pop star was happy with the results—as she wrote on Twitter, “Don’t be jelly about the custom Diesel daisy dukes!” But Katy, we are. We’ll be digging out the old Bedazzler this weekend, for sure.
