Rose Byrne, Patrick Wilson, Dianna Agron and John D’Leo Celebrate Their Movie Premieres From California to New York CitySep 12, 2013 @ 8:06 am
It was a night of movie premieres for Hollywood, as Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson celebrated their new thriller, Insidious: Chapter 2 at Universal City, California while co-stars Dianna Agron and John D’Leo premiered their mob comedy, The Family at Lincoln Square in New York City. “I’m excited that [the movie] is out, it’s here and our hard work will be shown,” Agron told InStyle.com. “It always feels when you’re working that you’re just doing something for you and it’s very fun and that would be great even if it never came out, but at the end of the day, the hard work, the crew, the cast, everybody it should be seen by somebody,” she laughed. “It’s just nice and we’re so proud of it – it’s a great experience.” In the film, Agron and D’Leo star as Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer’s children who relocate to Normandy, France as part of the witness protection program to live a normal life away from their mafia-affiliated clan. In the complete opposite movie genre, Insidious follows the Lambert family (played by Byrne and Wilson) as they discover a haunting secret that keeps them connected to the dangerous spirit world. Both films will hit theaters on September 13th.

Glee’s Dianna Agron Teams With the Somaly Mam Foundation to Stop Trafficking (And How You Can Help, Too)Jul 26, 2013 @ 11:57 am
These days it seems every celebrity has an online presence, whether they’re sending selfies of a haircut into cyberspace or tweeting about a just-wrapped movie. But Dianna Agron uses social media in a truly inspired way. On her blog, You, Me & Charlie (one of Agron’s nicknames), the actress promotes emerging artists, and for her birthday, fans rally to give to her favorite charities. (Followers have raised more than $18,000 for organizations like GLAAD and the Trevor Project.) Now she’s trumpeting another worthy endeavor: Somaly Mam Foundation. Led by its co-founder, Somaly Mam, who as a girl survived years of forced prostitution, SMF works with governments to bring an end to the global sex trade while financially supporting other programs that run medical clinics and recovery centers and send outreach workers into brothels. Last winter Agron toured two of the shelters to see their good works for herself. The experience left her with one question: What more can I do to help? Scroll down for the exclusive interview with Agron and find out how you can help, too. For more, turn to page 73 of the recent issue, now available on newsstands or downloadable for your tablet. More
Myth busted! Bold eye shadow isn’t just for ’80s-themed parties, and the summery turquoise hue Dianna Agron wore is proof. We love how the unexpected pop of color doesn’t scream obvious, so we caught up with her makeup artist Gianpaolo Cecilato to find out how to rock bright eyes the right way. The trick? Define your eyes first, then layer the color on after. “I used the duo eye shadow by Dolce & Gabbana in Laguna to get the look,” he said. Cecilato began by running the brand’s eyeliner in Emerald ($30; sephora.com) along Agron’s waterline. He swept a thin coat of black cream liner at the base of her top lashes, then moved on to the shadow palette. “I applied the darker shadow up to the crease and blended it, and smudged the color along the bottom lashes from side to side,” he added. We love it! Pick up the shadow palette for $42 at sephora.com.

Do blondes have more fun? Not according to Dianna Agron! We caught up with the star at Brian Bowen Smith’s Chateau Marmont party in Hollywood, who told us how her new red hue has brought out a wilder side in her wardrobe. “As a blonde, I would have never put this dress on!” she said of her Marc Jacobs number. “We went to the store and we saw stripes, sequins, and animal print. It was all in the black, white, and taupe color palette which, I’m a big fan of, especially now with the dark hair. As a blonde, it wouldn’t work as much.” While we’ve never seen the star look anything less than flawless, we have to agree—the chic leopard print does pair nicely with her auburn strands, and we can’t wait to see the new outfits to come. “I’m gravitating to things that I wouldn’t normally wear,” she added. As the clichéd saying goes, a leopard can’t change its spots, but you can change your hair color to complement them!

Hollywood is seeing red! Last week, Dianna Agron and Rachel McAdams both surprised all of us by taking their blonde strands to a bold crimson, and now, Elizabeth Olsen, and Coco Rocha are the latest celebrities to give their hair an auburn tint. While Rocha went the fire-engine route, Olsen’s change was much more subtle, adding a hint of red to her brunette shade. Considering the red route? Joel Warren of Warren-Tricomi Salons notes that the color is more high-maintenance, but the bold statement it makes is worth it. “Red hair has the largest molecule and is difficult to enter into the shaft of your hair,” Warren told us. “To make it last, you need products that help close the cuticle. Try L’Oreal Professionel’s INOA salon service, which doesn’t have ammonia and won’t open the hair cuticle.” Additionally, add more color-preserving products into your hair routine, and steer clear of shampoos that contain sulfates, which can strip hair color. “A strawberry blonde on a blonde base will last much longer than a rich auburn on that same base color,” he added.

Dianna Agron is now a redhead! Yesterday in West Hollywood, the star stepped out in a fiery new look, a welcome change from the blonde hue she famously sported on Glee. Agron likes to switch up her style regularly—she never looked back after debuting her choppy bob in 2011, then hinted at a color change before a brief stint with pink hair. “I’d also like to dye it, but one step at a time,” she told InStyle.com at an Ella Moss party previously. “It’s just fun to switch things up!” We think so, too! Do you like her new hair? Tell us in the comments!

The latest celebrities to rock bangs? Dianna Agron and Sophia Bush! Beyoncé, Kate Middleton, and Lana Del Rey recently added fringe to their looks, and last week, Agron followed suit with her blunt, eyebrow-skimming bangs. The style makes her collarbone-length bob even more graphic, and is a dramatic change from the long blond strands she once wore on Glee. One Tree Hill alum Bush also chopped a rounded version into her chestnut layers, and while they aren’t as short as Agron’s, Bush’s longer length makes room for versatility, allowing her to wear her bangs in the front or swept to the side. Tell us: do you like their new looks?
