Oscars 2012: Miss Piggy in Zac Posen; Kermit in Brooks Brothers

Feb 26, 2012 @ 9:10 pm

Excusez-moi, Miss Piggy! The Notorious P.I.G. looked fabulous at the 2012 Oscars, thanks to a custom dress by Zac Posen. The Muppet accessorized with Christian Louboutin shoes and Fred Leighton jewelry, including a 70-carat amethyst and diamond ring from the ‘40s, a 55-carat diamond and platinum swirl necklace and a matching 40-carat swirl bracelet, both from the ‘50s. Her hairstylist Kim Kimble, who also works with Beyonce and Kerry Washington, finished off her blowout with a 10-carat diamond clip. Her best accessory, however, was her date—Kermit the Frog, who looked handsome in a Brooks Brothers tuxedo. What a cute couple!

Runway Looks We Love: Zac Posen

Feb 13, 2012 @ 4:25 pm

Zac Posen channeled Japanese inspiration for his fall 2012 collection, showing off looks in colors like imperial blue and Tokyo red. Obi belts cinched kimono-sleeved tops, while Judith Leiber created minaudières shaped like cats and pagodas. Posen also collaborated with Illesteva for sunglasses and Manolo Blahnik for footwear. Coco Rocha closed the show in a black and blue jacquard bustier gown that filled the entire runway, a look sure to land on a Hollywood actress sometime soon. See more of our favorite Zac Posen looks in the gallery!

Redheads Rule at National Board of Review Awards and More!

Jan 11, 2012 @ 12:05 pm

It was a meeting of the redheads when Emma Stone (in J. Mendel) helped celebrate Ahna O’Reilly (in Issa) and Jessica Chastain‘s Best Ensemble Cast win for The Help at the National Board of Review Awards Gala, held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. When we caught up with Chastain separately, she told us she picked out her Zac Posen dress just for the big night. “This dress is so theatrical, but also very modern,” she said. “It’s feminine and edgy. I’m a huge fan!” See Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, and more stars at last night’s hottest parties in the gallery!
