Pronounced “fig” and named after the fruit Stephanie so loved as a child growing up in Italy, the online style destination offers SVW-designed clothing, accessories, and other “global goodies” to recreate the experience of being a world traveler who discovers one-of-a-kind treasures while traversing the globe. Fall-perfect items include colorful vintage scarves (right, from $125 to $895) and the chic Alexa jacket (far right, $1,300) made from Italian leather, of course. Wait, it’s November, already?! That means it’s almost time for Black Friday, and retailers everywhere are gearing up for one of the biggest shopping days of the year, like Tory Burch, who expressed her excitement for post-Thanksgiving shopping at last night’s Phoenix House Fashion Award Dinner in New York City. “It’s really important,” she said of holiday shopping season. “Particularly after the storm [Hurricane Sandy], it’s going to be great for our industry to get back up and running. We missed almost two weeks of sales.” So, how do you navigate the frenzy, Burch-style? “It’s a matter of going into a store and looking for things,” Burch told InStyle.com, who added that her favorite items are “cozy and warm.” Don’t have time? “Online is a good way to do it as well!” Let the credit card swiping and gift giving begin!

Pippa Middleton continues to charm the fashion world! After spotting her out and about in London carrying Tory Burch‘s Robinson satchel in light blue, we had to ask the designer how she felt when she saw the Duchess of Cambridge‘s sister working one of her beloved totes. “It’s so flattering!” Burch told us backstage before her Spring 2013 runway show. “There’s so many options out there that women have. For women to choose our particular item? It’s exciting.” Tory then explained what she likes about the carryall: “The bag is easy. She [Pippa] had it in a beautiful, light color. It holds a lot, which is key for me. It’s a classic silhouette.” Another day, another Middleton win. Good choice, Pips!

Stimulated by her global travels and the “American West,” Tory Burch created a truly awesome tribal meets bohemian beauty moment in her spring collection—(not to mention the clothes!) Mega-length fishtail braids and a minimalist approach to the makeup were the perfect complements to her departure from classic prep designs—the braids acted as an additional accessory. Eugene Soloman, who styled the hair for the show, told InStyle.com, “There are a lot of straw and weaved accessories in this collection, so I wanted the hair to have that look too.” Well, he can be sure we’ll be replicating these plaits ASAP—it’s easier than it looks! The Tory Burch girl has been around the world, and she’s brought some souvenirs back with her! Dubbed “American prep remix,” the layered collection paired the label’s classic polo and button-down style with global accessories and patterns. Beaded necklaces, fringed bags, handfuls of artisan rings and wooden shades felt like curated pieces from “a stylish magpie’s” travels. As for the prints, standout fabrics from The Tie-Dye Project, a collaboration with women artists in the Kindia region of Guinea, added extra authenticity to the eclectic vibe.
