Roksanda Ilincic—the British designer loved by Jessica Biel, Kate Middleton, Jessica Chastain, and more—hopped the pond and landed at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles to celebrate the debut of her resort 2014 collection (pictured center). Louise Roe, Julianne Hough, Ashley Madekwe, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead all came out to support their designer pal wearing pieces from her collections. “With the ladies all wearing@roksandailincic. #fashion,” Madekwe Instagrammed with a photo of her fellow Ilincic fans. With graphic black-and-white outfits making a strong appearance at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas this week, we’re thrilled to see some color contrast in the mix thanks to Selena Gomez in (Dolce & Gabbana), Ashley Benson, and Michelle Monaghan (in Roksanda Ilincic). The citrus-y hue was popular last year when Pantone named it the Color of 2012 (a title emerald green has claimed for 2013), and it’s an anything-but-subtle look you can try, too. Bright and bold, tangerine looks best worn in solid blocks. Stick to a classic silhouette and experiment with fun, high-contrast accessories for day or accent with basic black for a chic evening look.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, had one busy day yesterday! Not only did she cheer on Princess Zara at the royal’s first Olympic equestrian showing, but she then attended the Creative Industries Reception in London (sans Prince William) to celebrate Brits in the arts. For the latter, she wore a lavender Roksanda Ilincic shift—a dress we first saw her in last July during her Canadian tour. She added a fresh touch to her look, though, by pinning her long locks into voluminous, neck-skimming twist. Aquamarine earrings and dove grey suede heels completed the ensemble. “I think she’s a wonderful ambassador of British fashion,” Ilincic told InStyle.com earlier this year. We couldn’t agree more!

Roksanda Ilincic’s “Izumi” dress is a go-to dress this season. Princess Beatrice, 23, paired the British designer’s piece with sky-high cobalt Nicholas Kirkwood platforms and a pink Anya Hindmarch clutch at the 2012 Britain Creates party in London in June. The next week, Marisa Tomei took the style for a spin during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, where the 47-year-old actress matched the shift’s electric cuffs to her Aperlai peep-toes. “Women should follow their heart and feel comfortable in what they’re wearing,” Ilincic, shown inset, told InStyle.com. “You should feel empowered, and always add a personal touch—your own personality to the garment.” It looks like these ladies did just that!
