And they’re back! Hot on the heels of their previous successful collaborations with Aldo Rise, the brand’s partnership program that supports rising talent, Justin Thorton and Thea Bregazzi of Preen have partnered with the shoe retailer once again—for the fourth time. Debuted on the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi fall/winter 2013 runway at London Fashion Week, this season’s Preen x Aldo Rise collection was inspired by director Derek Jarman’s post-apocalyptic New Wave film “Jubilee” and “by the combination of progressive modernity and quiet luxury,” the designing duo said in a statement. The result? A line-up of seven shoes in three styles: an ankle-strap pump, a triple-buckle zippered bootie and an ankle boot. Kick your fall style up a notch with one of these runway-ready designs. Priced between $160 and $230, scoop one (or two or three) at select Aldo stores or on aldoshoes.com. Here’s hoping for a fifth collection!
When Julianne Hough stepped out to the British Fashion Council’s London Show Rooms event in Los Angeles, she complemented her Peter Pilotto dress with a cute pair of white pumps, and we found them! These Musilova sandals are the product of Preen’s collaboration with Aldo’s Aldo Rise program, which aims to help rising brands like Preen inhabit the spotlight. And with fans like Hough, they’re doing just that! The style is available in Hough’s chosen Ice colorway or a more statement-making neon yellow and python print combo. Shop them for $155 at aldoshoes.com.

At London Fashion Week this weekend, Aldo debuted the next set of designer collaborations that will be part of Aldo Rise, a program that supports rising designers by producing and stocking their footwear in Aldo stores. One of the new collabs features Preen, a British label that dresses countless cool girls (Claire Danes, Michelle Obama, and Scarlett Johansson among them). The label’s designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi conceptualized buckle-covered booties in red and black for their Aldo creation, and the duo clued us in to their design process through the sketch shown here. “This season the shoes are tough and sexy with a collage of textures and finish,” Thornton told InStyle.com of the shoes. Find these in stores and aldoshoes.com come fall.

Marisa Tomei, First Lady Michelle Obama, Claire Danes, Scarlett Johansson, and Rose McGowan are gravitating to prints this spring—all from the same British label, Preen. Launched by English duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi in 2001, the brand became famous for its sophisticated, cool designs and patterns, as exemplified by the women wearing them above. “Our prints say, ‘I’m modern, I’m sexy, I’m cool,” Thornton told InStyle.com. “We design them to offer women something they may not have worn before, but with this a sense of romance.” Even if you are tentative about the graphic look, Thornton has advice: “Mix them up with solids such as a simple jacket or pencil skirt, and then accessorize with minimal items,” he said. “Don’t be afraid of bold prints they make you look both current and appealing. They say ‘I’m interesting and fun!’” Preen is available starting at $240 at net-a-porter.com.
