The stars are stepping out for Paris Fashion Week—and the biggest names were spotted at Christian Dior! Lady Dior face Marion Cotillard sat in the front row dressed head-to-toe in the label to see Raf Simons’ latest cartoon-etched looks for the ladies, and she shared the spotlight with Grammy-winning man-about-town Frank Ocean, dressed in Dior Homme. While New York Fashion Week and the Grammys have been taking center stage stateside, celebrities crossed the pond to attend the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards in London, where high-fashion dominated the red carpet. Marion Cotillard wore a sunny yellow Christian Dior design, Sarah Jesica Parker chose a black Elie Saab jumpsuit, Jennifer Lawrence picked a sequined strapless Christian Dior Couture gown, Amy Adams favored a Chantilly lace Elie Saab gown (and pink tourmaline earrings surrounded by 1,451 stones), and Jessica Chastain brightened up the carpet in a sapphire asymmetrical number by Roland Mouret. What a beautiful week! We wrapped up January with a whiff of Heidi Klum’s latest fragrance, took a peek at colorful Victoria’s Secret polishes and made a trip to the SAG Awards, where we snapped stars like Dior-clad Marion Cotillard. See more of this week’s best photos in the gallery, and come back every Saturday for our favorite shots.
Our favorite looks this week—plucked from our Look of the Day section—were all about intricate floral detailing and classic silhouettes. Marion Cotillard wore a navy and white Dior Haute Couture design to the SAG Awards, Emmy Rossum prepared for a Conan visit in a slim Stop Staring by Alicia Estrada sheath, Cate Blanchett was red hot in a red sequin Armani Privé gown, Kate Mara wore silver and black floral lace Dolce & Gabbana design, and Rooney Mara looked sweet a floral embroidered Alexander McQueen dress in lovely light mint. After striking out on his own four years ago, designer Prabal Gurung has already seen his pieces land on countless celebrities—an amazing feat!—and he knows how special it is each time stars like (left to right) Olga Kurylenko, Marion Cotillard, January Jones, and Jennifer Lawrence step onto the red carpet wearing his clothes. “These actresses have a bazillion options, and you’re competing with big corporate houses, too,” Gurung told InStyle.com at the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation’s 2013 Winners’ Brunch in New York, where the designer was on hand to toast to the next generation of grant winners (he won in 2010). “So when [they choose mine], I’m always like, ‘Did this just happen?’ I don’t think it will ever change for me. I’m always really grateful. When they choose mine, it’s really gratifying and humbling.” And he expresses his gratitude every time he sees his piece on a star: “Before I go to bed, I always say, ‘Thank you so much,’ to the person.” And with his collections gaining even more in popularity, expect to see his celebrity fan base keep growing (and growing and growing!).

The 2013 SAG Awards red carpet proved to be another fashion show for Hollywood’s leading ladies! So, which dresses topped our list of favorites? Five looks that represented five of the biggest trends of the season. Check them all out here!
1. ANNE HATHAWAY: SHEER
Anne Hathaway represented the sheer trend seen on the spring runways wearing a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture embroidered corset and tulle dress from the spring Haute Couture collection. She accessorized with Kwiat jewels.
2. JESSICA CHASTAIN: RED
Redheads can wear red! The Best Actress nominee wore a fiery Alexander McQueen gown, a look that got only more va-va-voom with the $1.25 million Harry Winston necklace accessorizing it.
3. JULIANNE MOORE: BLACK & WHITE
Black and white were the biggest “colors” of the night, from solid black (like Michelle Dockery‘s vintage Chado Ralph Rucci), solid white (like Naomi Watts‘s Marchesa), to a black-white mix (like Julianne Moore’s stunning Chanel look), all inspired by the biggest trend that emerged from the spring runways.
4. MARION COTILLARD: TUXEDO/BOW DETAIL
We loved the look of Marion Cotillard’s Dior Haute Couture dress. The face of the label represented its ladylike motif in an ivory white silk faille bustier and a dark green skirt in leather satin. But the most standout detail was the bow around the waist, wrapping her just right.

Up-and-coming UK designer Erdem Moralioglu is really making an impression on some of Hollywood’s most stylish red carpet fixtures! Marion Cotillard wore one of his Pre-Fall 2013 designs for her appearance on Conan, Ashley Greene wore his Vivienne dress for a Breaking Dawn: Part 2 screening in South Africa, Rosamund Pike wore an asymmetrical dress from the designer’s Spring 2013 collection for the Tokyo premiere of her film Jack Reacher, and, most recently, Sienna Miller wore his youthful two-piece design at the Golden Globes, saying, “He’s really the hottest young designer coming out of England.” Moralioglu was born in Montreal in 1977 to a Turkish father and British mother, and spent his childhood split between his hometown and Birmingham, England. “When you see your clothes out of the context of a show, it’s really exciting,” Moralioglu has said of seeing his looks on the red carpet. And let’s not forget one of the designer’s earliest fans—The Duchess herself. What do you think of his work?
