Nov 8, 2012 @ 5:48 pm

Victoria’s Secret Angel Behati Prinsloo didn’t have to say one word to make a statement at the after-party for the VS Fashion Show last night! After switching out of her runway lingerie, the Namibian model covered up with a statement-making dress, literally. ”I love this,” she told InStyle.com as she showed off her outfit, a Moschino piece from the ’90s with the words “You Can Dress Me Up! But You Can’t Take Me Out!” on it. OK, we get the message! Tell us: Do you like this look?

The Good Wife Fashion Details: Season 4, Episode 5

Oct 29, 2012 @ 12:34 pm

A new episode of The Good Wife premiered last night, in which Julianna Margulies’s character, Alicia Florrick, had to mix her power lawyer persona with her soft-spoken approach as mom to help defend a drug lord. In order to get the perfect hard-soft aesthetic, costume designer Daniel Lawson dressed Margulies in a Fendi jacket—one of the same jackets the actress wore in last week’s episode, and a piece he picked up at Bergdorf Goodman before it even hit the sales floor. “I turned to my assistant and said, ‘That’s it!’ It was such a terrific find,” Lawson said of scoring the look. The Good Wife Fashion Details: Season 4, Episode 4

Oct 22, 2012 @ 2:55 pm

The Good Wife costume designer Daniel Lawson gave InStyle.com the exclusive inside scoop about what Julianna Margulies wore on last night’s new episode—and the direction he’s taking fashion for her character, power lawyer Alicia Florrick. “We keep nodding to late ‘50s and early ‘60s this season,” Lawson said of his choices, which include this plum Prada suit and red Moschino jacket, as well as jackets by Ralph Lauren and Fendi (shown in the gallery). “I’m so lucky where I get to work on a show where we can pick up a new Fendi piece and be able to use it,” he said. “It’s pretty amazing.” We agree! The Safety Pin Dress Returns on Kate Moss: Which Is Your Favorite?

Aug 14, 2012 @ 1:15 pm

Supermodel Kate Moss stepped out in London last night—not long after her fabulous showing at the Olympic Closing Ceremony—wearing a Moschino Cheap & Chic LBD covered in gold safety pins. This reminded us (obviously) of Elizabeth Hurley’s black silk crepe Versace dress, which made the then 29-year-old world famous overnight. (The 1994 dress is still unforgettable almost two decades later, deemed “instantly inseparable, incredible, combustible, derisible, and globally inescapable” by InStyle fashion director Hal Rubenstein.) Before Moss, Twilight Saga star Kristen Stewart also resurrected the Power of Safety Pins look when she donned a red Balmain mini at the MTV Movie Awards last year. So, which dress is your favorite?
