Boho-no! While Kate Hudson is known for her free-spirited bohemian style, she veered onto the all-out glam track lately, and we’re loving it. She packed the most glam of glam wardrobes for her stint in New York to promote her latest film The Reluctant Fundamentalist at the Tribeca Film Festival—outfits that landed her in our Look of the Day section day after day. From left, she’s worn Jenny Packham, Reem Acra, Ann Taylor’s Event Collection, and Michael Kors. Amazing, right? So, what’s the ultimate look of her New York rendezvous? Tell us by voting in the poll. More

The Time 100 Gala, held to celebrate the magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world, took over New York’s Lincoln Center last night! It was quite the star-packed affair, with celebrities including Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel (both in Tom Ford), Claire Danes (in Lanvin), Girls creator Lena Dunham (in Saint Laurent), Michael Kors, and Olivia Munn (in a dress by the designer) mixing and mingling at the event. The festivities included performances by Miguel and Christina Aguilera, as well as a rousing speech by Vice President Joe Biden who asserted to the audience, “This list is unified by a simple belief that it’s all about basically not being told it can’t be done.” Click the photo to see more.

Michael Kors is extending his chic designs to your makeup stash! Starting in August, the designer will roll out his own line of color cosmetics and body care. As showcased in the shot above, the line is separated into sporty, sexy, and glam collections, with fragrance, lip glosses, nail polishes, and lipsticks to suit each look. ”You don’t want to look totally painted or like you just rolled out of bed,” Kors previously told InStyle of his approach to makeup. “It’s all about striking a balance.” And this isn’t the designer’s first foray into beauty. In addition to his trademark scents, he teamed up with Estée Lauder in 2010 to launch a makeup collection inspired by Hollywood. Now he’s back, by himself, and with more to offer: The launch will also include self-tanner, bronzer, as well as bath and after-sun products. Shop the collection for $18 to $95 in Macy’s stores in August.

What You Can Learn from Gwyneth Paltrow’s Cut-Out Dress (Yes, It Can Be Done!)

Mar 2, 2013 @ 9:00 am

With spring about to spring, we’re taking a look at our favorite trends for warmer temperatures—including daring cut-outs, as modeled here by Gwyneth Paltrow. We love the way the actress took this Michael Kors dress from the runway and made it her own—while still keeping it modest. Though she shortened it, she made sure the length was still below the knee, which kept things ladylike. Lesson learned, Gwyn!

Plus, learn how to wear the top spring trends.
