Now on Twitter: Oprah’s Go-To Designer L’Wren Scott

Jun 1, 2011 @ 3:30 pm

Celebrity favorite designer L’Wren Scott just joined Twitter! The designer, whose creations are often worn by Oprah Winfrey (Scott designed the talk show host’s finale dress seen at left), Michelle Obama, Amy Adams, Nicole Kidman, and a fleet of Hollywood leading ladies, is happy about her new social media status. “I am officially on Twitter. #Excited,” was her first official Tweet. (Great use of a hashtag, we must say!) Follow L’Wren at @lwrenscott. Also new to Twitter: Jason Wu! He launched his own account two weeks ago. Follow the designer @misswu_ny.

Fashion stylist-turned-designer L’Wren Scott has created a line of cosmetics with Lancome for their Holiday 2010 collection. “The first thing I thought of was that I wanted to do my signature red—my bordeaux,” Scott, a frequent sporter of ruby red lips, told WWD. Her first mission? “To interpret a red lipstick that could be worn from day to night.” And that hers does—depending on the application, you can wear it totally sheer or far darker. Prices will range from $15 for the nail polish to $42 for the eye quad palette, and the line hits stores this November.
