Country’s biggest stars turned Las Vegas into NashVegas last night! Keith Urban, Faith Hill (in Chado Ralph Rucci), Taylor Swift (in Naeem Khan), Tim McGraw, and more ventured west to the glitzy MGM Grand Garden Arena for the 48th annual ceremony for the mega-country celebration. Luke Bryan, who also co-hosted the evening with The Voice judge Blake Shelton, took home the evening’s biggest fan-voted honor, the Entertainer of the Year award, only made that much more special by the fact 1.1 million fans casted their votes, while southern newcomers Florida Georgia Line won the other fan-voted category, New Artist of the Year. Miranda Lambert took home the Female Vocalist of the Year prize for the fourth year in a row, making her only the third artist ever (after country legends Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn) to win the honor four or more times. Our favorite looks this week—plucked from our Look of the Day section—were a mix of detailed black dresses and punchy springtime prints. Kirsten Dunst premiered Upside Down in a belted black dress, Zoe Saldana celebrated her stylist at The Hollywood Reporter‘s luncheon in Carven, Katie Holmes feted the New York Observer‘s anniversary in Dolce & Gabbana, Selena Gomez stunned at SXSW in Dolce & Gabbana‘s bright separates, and Olivia Wilde opened The Incredible Burt Wonderstone in peek-a-boo Gucci. Who had your favorite look this week? Tell us in the poll below!
With graphic black-and-white outfits making a strong appearance at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas this week, we’re thrilled to see some color contrast in the mix thanks to Selena Gomez in (Dolce & Gabbana), Ashley Benson, and Michelle Monaghan (in Roksanda Ilincic). The citrus-y hue was popular last year when Pantone named it the Color of 2012 (a title emerald green has claimed for 2013), and it’s an anything-but-subtle look you can try, too. Bright and bold, tangerine looks best worn in solid blocks. Stick to a classic silhouette and experiment with fun, high-contrast accessories for day or accent with basic black for a chic evening look.

Over at the South by Southwest Film and Musical Festival in Austin, Texas, plenty of new movies and tunes are debuting, but one classic trend is holding steady: black and white fashion. Olivia Wilde (in Dolce & Gabbana), Ashley Benson, and Genesis Rodriguez, all on-hand to premiere their latest films, worked the tones in tandem, and they made each lady look cool and confident. It’s a reassuring palette—especially when organized in crisp grids or lines, like Wilde’s Dolce number. But if you try the trend yourself and want to lessen the impact, add another color, like Rose Byrne, who paired her pinstriped A-line skirt and white accessories with a peach Balenciaga button-down blouse. (Tip: You can also add color with a bright pump or bold lips.) But remember, you don’t need much makeup—just filled brows and contoured cheeks; let your sharp outfit take center stage.

The Oscars may have dominated the air waves this weekend, but that doesn’t mean we forgot Milan Fashion Week! InStyle‘s Fashion Director Cindy Weber Cleary spent the whole weekend in Italy at the shows, and she sent us her favorite look from each day, starting with Versace (center). “Donatella went wild with her neo-punk theme for fall 2013, but rock stars and sex symbols alike will fight over this fierce vinyl look,” Weber declared. We can see it! Click through to see her favorite pieces at Bottega Veneta and Dolce & Gabbana, and check back tomorrow for more!
Inspired by the mosaics of Sicily’s Cathedral of Monreale, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s latest collection will have many preaching the gospel of Dolce & Gabbana come fall. Presenting a fittingly ornate collection, the duo sent their models down the runway adorned in golden crowns and jeweled rosaries. The clothing matched the grandeur of the accessories and ranged from muted fresco prints to a cardinal red finale. Among the referential designs and signature Dolce & Gabbana peek-a-boo lace sheaths was ladylike suiting that could rival any woman’s Sunday best. See our favorite looks in the gallery!
