With so many eyes on the red carpet, it’s a brave move for any star to go it alone, and stylist Shirley Kurata explains that we may see more actresses sporting their own picks. “Studios are cutting budgets for stylists, so a lot of girls are dressing themselves,” she said. Whatever the reason, it’s refreshing to know that burgeoning style stars such as Mad Men‘s January Jones, who looked chic in black Lanvin (far right) for the Golden Globes, are still getting noticed in dresses of their own choosing. “She definitely caught my eye,” said Phillips. “January is clearly one to watch.”
