Oscars 2013: The Scoop on Jennifer Lawrence’s Diamond Draped Back

Jennifer Lawrence is walking the Oscars red carpet in a billowing Dior Haute Couture gown, and she happens to also be dripping in Chopard diamonds! The star of Silver Linings Playbook and Best Leading Actress nominee is wearing pear-shaped white diamond drop earrings weighing 12 carats, set in round and rose-cut diamonds weighing 11 carats, plus a white diamond band (5 carats), floral diamond ring (8 carats), and the showstopping center piece: a 74-carat strand of 150 diamond beads, which she wore backwards, draping down her back. Leave it to her to put a twist on elegance!

Golden Globes 2013: All About Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s Looks

No one was safe from the hilariously witty weaponry hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler brought to the stage at last night’s Golden Globe Awards, but when it came to fashion, the ladies kept it very classy. When they hit the red carpet, Fey was outfitted in a dress by L’Wren Scott while Poehler chose a pantsuit by Stella McCartney with a stunning diamond necklace (to the tune of 83 carats set in platinum) by Chopard. For their first on-stage costume change, Fey slipped into a high-glam sparkling teal column by L’Wren Scott, and Poehler chose a deep-plunging burgundy dress from McCartney. And to close out the show, Fey brought her style full-circle while Poehler put on another McCartney creation, a sparkling black cocktail dress—an appropriate choice, since the hosts did an on-stage toast! The biggest bling always comes out during awards season! Case in point: Jennifer Lawrence’s Chopard jewels during last night’s 18th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. The star—who took home the Best Actress in a Comedy for Silver Linings Playbook and Best Actress in an Action Movie for The Hunger Games awards—accessorized her Prabal Gurung gown with 38 carats of diamonds (chandelier earrings were 19, asscher-cut line bracelet was 16, and a cocktail ring was 3). Stunning, don’t you think?

Diana Movie Will Feature Beautiful Diamonds by Chopard

Chopard was just announced as the official jeweler for Diana, the forthcoming biopic starring Naomi Watts as the late Princess of Wales. And, judging by this first glamorous still, it looks like the famed jewelry house made sure to recreate Diana’s sparklers just so—including these 20-carat sapphire earrings set in white gold surrounded by 28 diamonds, a near-match to those often seen on Diana and the obvious complement to her famous engagement ring (which is now worn by her son’s wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge). We’ve spotted Kate in Diana’s blue studs, too, though the new royal chooses to wear hers as drops. We can’t wait to see more royal jewels from the set!
