Calvin Klein Releases Katniss-Inspired Dress

Apr 16, 2012 @ 2:15 pm

Francisco Costa must be a Hunger Games fan! The Calvin Klein creative director, who designed Jennifer Lawrence’s plunging green shift for the film’s New York premiere, just released a dress named for her character, Katniss Everdeen. While the apricot silk crepe design reflects Katniss’s streamlined style, its $5,000 price tag is more Capitol than District 12. Shop the look at net-a-porter.com, and see more Katniss-inspired fashions with a lower price tag in the gallery.

Jennifer Lawrence Looks Great in Color

Jennifer Lawrence likes to wear her fair share of LBDs (honestly, who doesn’t?), though we’d like to take a moment to point out that this young star looks great in color—any color. The Hunger Games leading lady headed to last year’s SAG Awards in hot pink Oscar de la Renta, hit last week’s Berlin premiere of her action movie in red Marchesa, shimmered in gold Prabal Gurung at the Los Angeles Games premiere, stepped out in forest green Calvin Klein in New York last night, presented at the People’s Choice Awards in electric blue Viktor & Rolf, and spoke with David Letterman in navy-violet Altuzarra. For someone who usually likes neutrals, bright hues suit her well! Tell us: What’s your favorite color to wear?

Plus, see Jennifer Lawrence’s best outfits ever in the gallery.
