After Fashion Week wrapped up in New York, Market Editor Dana Avidan Cohn hopped a plane across the pond for an all-access pass to London Fashion Week. And she’s bringing us along! When it comes to transforming the classic Burberry trench into a modern masterpiece, designer Christopher Bailey is quite the magician. For his fall collection, titled “Trench Kisses,” at London Fashion Week, he incorporated kitschy (even kinky) elements, like all-over hearts and slick latex. The transparent fabric popped up on skirts (revealing cheeky undergarments), tops, and jackets, all in a classic neutral palette spotted with pops of leopard print. For evening, he created bold cocktail dresses, some with built-in neck pieces, which cleverly replaced jewelry. The accessories also offered a lot to look forward to, like low-heeled animal print wedges, fur-covered evening clutches, and ladylike totes. See our favorite looks in the gallery.
