Ever since H&M announced its collaboration with super-hip French designer Isabel Marant, we’ve been counting down the days until its November 14th debut, and that day has finally arrived! The line includes clothing, shoes, and jewelry, all inspired by the most beloved and iconic pieces from Marant’s career. “There are a lot of people that send me really super sweet letters but cannot afford my regular collection. This was a very good opportunity to send them back the love I am receiving from them,” Marant told InStyle. The designer has assembled an eclectic mix of must-have pieces with her trademark bohemian flair that includes everything from T-shirts to sweatshirts, tailored outerwear to dresses, and chunky knits to sleek boots and bohemian necklaces ($25 to $400). “I think this is very Parisian: You dress up, but don’t pay too much attention to it, and you still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude,” Marant said of her designs. “I aim at creating something real – something women want to wear in their everyday lives.” Marant didn’t leave anyone out of the mix — the capsule also contains an array of men’s and children’s clothing, marking the first time the designer has created menswear. From Gwyneth Paltrow to Blake Lively, designer Isabel Marant has a devoted following of fans and she’s about to get more with her new collection with H&M, which is set to hit stores and online in just one month! Back in June, the designer and the famed retailer announced their collaboration which will feature women’s clothing and accessories inspired by her French aesthetic, including Marant’s first-ever collection for men. “The purpose was to do all my favorite pieces from my beginning and it’s a mix of different collections with my favorite pieces,” the designer told InStyle.com about her new line during her first anniversary bash for her Los Angeles namesake boutique. “I’m an inner feeling person and for me, creation is a bit about being pregnant from an idea and it’s always difficult for me to speak about it because it is a work in progress.” With one more month to go, click through our gallery to see some of Marant’s famous fans to hold you over till November 14th, when the collection hits H&M hits stores and hm.com!
Isabel Marant has a lot to be excited about (like her upcoming collaboration with H&M, due November 14), but it starts with the first anniversary of her namesake Los Angeles flagship boutique. The designer—loved by celebrities like Blake Lively, Kerry Washington, and Gwyneth Paltrow—celebrated by throwing a champagne and barbecue party co-hosted by her longtime friend, Milla Jovovich. “Isabel and I launched her first campaign and I remember at that time we were talking about where her store should be, so I was just so happy when she called me and she was like,’Guess what? I’m doing it,” the model and actress told InStyle.com. “I’ve known her since the beginning and she’s one of my favorite designers, always has been, and I’m just so glad that I could see her rise. She’s becoming a more prolific artist.” Held at the store’s Melrose Place location, which was transformed into an Old West-inspired space filled with cactus and succulent plants, the guest list included Alessandra Ambrosio, Joy Bryant, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. The evening ended with a live performance by Los Angeles-based band Warpaint. “It’s what I wanted to do, a very casual and easy party,” Marant said. “And most of all thank the people of Los Angeles for being so supportive.”

PMK Customs considers itself the “Maybach” of the couture sneaker world, which is why when Jay-Z and Beyonce wanted their kicks customized, they turned to founder Andre Scott. The brand crafted Jay’s red Nike-striped “Brooklyn Zoo” Jordans out of a hybrid of luxury reptile skins ($2,500), and Queen Bey liked them so much, she asked the designer to put a fresh twist on her Isabel Marant wedges, too. That’s how her creamy “King Bey” shoes came to be, an ostrich/crocodile/anaconda mix stitched together with gold thread ($5,500). “[The customization] mimics the southern belle’s sweet and fierce persona,” Scott told InStyle.com. “They are two very humble and inspirational people, and to have them part of our network is a true blessing.” Especially when the customers are so impressed by extreme attention to detail—Johnson said he had no edits to the specialized pieces.
