Sex and the City: Television and Movie Marathon This Weekend

We know you can’t get enough of Michael Phelps‘ abs, but just in case you’ve had a little too much Olympics in your life this weekend, check out E!’s Sex and the City marathon! Repeats of (in our humble opinion) one of the best television series of all time will air starting today on 4 pm/ET and run throughout the weekend. And both SATC films are on the lineup, too, with the first film starting on 8 pm/ET on Saturday and the second on 2 pm/ET on Sunday. Happy marathoning!

SATC2 Scoop! Kim’s Haircut, Cynthia’s Skin

As expected, the ladies of SATC2 turned it out on the red carpets in the fashion department. But we were equally impressed by their varied hair and makeup looks, so we got the scoop from a few of the experts who have been creating them. “Kim Cattrall and I both love a change and wanted something fresh that would move and be doable for her in real life,” said her Sex and The City 2 hairstylist Ryan Trygstad, who was also responsible for the blunt bangs and bob the star debuted yesterday. “We looked to Katie Holmes and Christina Aguilera for inspiration.” As for Cynthia Nixon’s flawless skin, makeup artist Matin has been turning to two products throughout the press tour: Orlane Creme Royale Eye Contour, a luxe cream flecked with 24-kt gold which he uses to highlight her cheekbones, and Sampar Eye Rule, a cooling rollerball that refreshes the skin around the eyes with a blend of peptides. Keep up the good work, boys!

Let the SATC2 Fashion Show Begin!

We are getting really excited for the Sex and The City 2 fashion show, er, film due out this May, and the leading ladies are already starting to heat up the red carpet! Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis (Kim Cattrall was working on a play in London) gave us a taste of what’s to come, debuting not one, but two looks each during the ShoWest Convention in Las Vegas, where they were promoting the film. The trio went for color during the day, Nixon in a ladylike printed Carolina Herrera dress, Parker in a neon yellow one-shouldered Lanvin frock and Davis in floral ruched Oscar de la Renta. They then changed into fierce LBDs—Nixon in a mod thigh-high version, Parker in exquisitely detailed Marchesa and Davis in embellished de la Renta—for the nighttime ceremony where they received the Ensemble Award for being such a fabulous foursome.

New Sex and The City 2 Picture Revealed!

Eleven weeks and counting till Sex and The City 2 hits theaters and we’ve got a new picture of the stylish foursome to tide us over! Here’s what we know: Carrie and her besties, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, take a girls trip to Morocco. They not only stylishly trek through the Sahara and sip champagne under a breezy desert tent, but they also take the stage for a lively karaoke performance in Marrakesh. Who but our intrepid leads could look so colorful and amazing singing karaoke? Stay tuned to our coverage as we count down to the movie’s May 28 premiere.
