Critics’ Choice Awards 2013: Jason Wu Approved Jaime King’s Look

Jan 11, 2013 @ 12:09 pm

Jaime King’s close relationship with Jason Wu comes in handy during awards season! At last night’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, she wore a look from the designer’s new pre-fall collection, which he debuted a month ago. “I saw the look and freaked out and called him and said I had to have it,” the Hart of Dixie star told InStyle.com. “We talked on the phone about what we should do for hair and make-up. We went for a whole Jerry Hall vibe. I sent him approval pictures on the way here!” Does she always pow-wow with her pal for advice? “Absolutely!” she said. “I feel like you have to honor their vision and what they do. You can do your own twist as well, but I love designers so much that I like having that close relationship with them and wearing their clothes as they intend.” What a great partnership!

Golden Globes 2013: How Anne Hathaway Is Getting Ready

Jan 11, 2013 @ 12:00 pm

Awards season for Anne Hathaway is all about trying to keep her work/life balance in tact. When asked how she’s preparing for Sunday’s Golden Globes at last night’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards—where picked up the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Les Misérablesthe star told reporters she wants her day to be as regular as possible. “The last time I was nominated, I went horseback riding in the morning,” the actress (in Oscar de la Renta) said. “I don’t think I’ll do that this year, though. I don’t know. I’m not so often nominated that I have a ritual but I’ll probably try to sleep, drink a lot of water, get some food in my system, chill out, play with my dog. Just normal stuff.” Yes, everything is normal—except it’s the Globes!

The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards took place in Los Angeles last night, where some of our favorite celebrities opted for the most tried-and-true formal-event colors: Black and white. Charlize Theron chose form-fitting Azzedine Alaïa, Tilda Swinton picked two-tone Yves Saint Laurent, Michelle Williams went for one of her favorite labels in Chanel, and Kirsten Dunst wore a bow-decorated Christian Dior LBD. However, the carpet wasn’t entirely colorless. See what everyone else wore to the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in the gallery now!
