Holiday Windows 2012: Bulgari, Club Monaco, and More

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday behind us, retailers continue to spread the season’s cheer with festive window displays. Club Monaco created an old-meets-new feel at its Fifth Avenue store by juxtaposing the merchandise with antique items such as old maps, telescopes and frames, while Bulgari decorated its storefront with an illuminated installation of a serpent, the house’s symbol. Giant trees are also lighting up the New York City, starting with the 55-foot Norway spruce that went aglow in Bryant Park. Click through the gallery to see more!

Mayle for Club Monaco Handbags!

Sep 25, 2012 @ 5:49 pm

New York-based designer Jane Mayle is back! After shuttering her eponymous line of clothing and accessories in 2008 (a moment of silence, please), the Mayle’s back with a limited-edition collection of five handbags for Club Monaco. Priced between $245 and $695, the Coco (bottom) is a narrow, fold-over leather and suede cross-body bag with brass hardware, while the JM bag (top) and tote (middle) are both made of suede lambskin with leather trim and removable straps. The smaller bags are relatively affordable, and we think they’ll make great additions to our growing fall wardrobes. “The collaboration with Jane Mayle was kismet,” Caroline Belhumeur, Club Monaco’s Senior Vice President of Women’s Apparel and Accessories, said in a statement. “When the opportunity presented itself, we naturally all jumped on board. Jane’s aesthetic and energy clearly sits well with our brand – a downtown vibe, but chic and feminine.” And we’ll be jumping on board as well! The bags will be available starting October 3 in Club Monaco stores and at clubmonaco.com. Tell us: Do you plan to snag one?

Perrey Reeves: Club Monaco Fan

Jan 24, 2012 @ 4:05 pm

Have you ever bought an entire outfit you saw in the window display? Perrey Reeves did when she dropped by Club Monaco recently, and she wore her purchases to the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center benefit at the Sunset Tower Hotel last night. “It’s straight of the rack, which is kind of fantastic,” Reeves told InStyle.com of her navy dress and vintage-inspired bag, both from the retailer. “I was walking by the store and saw some really cute displays in the window. I went in and I kind of went wild. I’m a big fan of buying whatever you love and not limiting yourself.” And this look is going to be one of her new staples: “I’ll wear it again. Why not?” Find both pieces—the Adelphie dress for $199 and the Cora wristlet for $120—in stores now, or pick up the beaded bag at shopbop.com.

It used to be that Club Monaco‘s sleek, sophisticated designs were only available in stores—which only slightly diminished our obsession with the brand. (What can we say, we love online shopping…) But the web gods have answered our prayers! Starting today, the label is being sold online at Shopbop.com and, from what we saw, the brilliantly curated selection can basically dress you for the rest of the season. A few of our favorite pieces are the dainty slipdress, flirty Swiss dot tights, and this relaxed camel blazer. Admit it: You’re as excited as we are!
