For every pair of aviator sunglasses and plaid, there’s bound to be fur and a navel-grazing neckline close by; welcome to the ’70s. American Hustle (out in theaters now) sweeps us back to the glitzy decade where over-the-top glamour and slick swagger reign supreme. The film follows con-artist Irving (Christian Bale), his lover-slash-partner-in-crime Sydney (Amy Adams), his wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence), and FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper), in a story where deceit, scandal, and romance ensue. The plot is good and all, but it’s the heady dose of vintage fashion that also caught our attention. From leather-on-leather to slinky white gowns, get your vixen fix and copy their sexy on-screen style.

Watch the Late Paul Walker’s Thrilling Film: Hours
Before Paul Walker’s untimely death, he filmed a harrowing movie about Hurricane Katrina, playing a much different character than Fast & Furious’ Brian O’Conner. This time he plays a new father and after his wife (Genesis Rodriguez) passed away after going into labor five weeks early, his premature daughter is placed on a ventilator. But once Hurricane Katrina starts to flood the hospital, Walker is the only one who can save his daughter’s life with no doctors or power to help keep the ventilator running.

This David O. Russell film has a packed roster of Hollywood heavy-hitters— including Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Christian Bale—and is already nominated for seven Golden Globes nominations for Best Motion Picture and nods for Best lead and supporting roles. The film is based on con-artist Irving Rosenfeld (Bale) who ends up working alongside FBI agent (Cooper) to catch a few white-collar criminals. Plus it’s filled with fantastic ’70s-inspired clothing and hairdos!
The Dark Knight Rises, the last installment in Christopher Nolan’s epic Batman trilogy, has hit the $1 billion mark! The much-anticipated final chapter, starring Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway, was on a steady rise since it’s opening weekend, when it took in $160.8 million. And thanks perhaps to the long Labor Day weekend, the film finally got the extra push it needed to make it to $1 billion worldwide—a record only 10 other films (including Titanic, The Avengers, and the last Harry Potter film) can boast. The question is, have you been to see it yet?
