Before Katy Perry turned her hair Smurf blue, she dyed her strands in all-over lavender pink. Ever since, more and more celebrities have taken their turns with pink strands, though, in more subtle ways. Yesterday, Brooklyn Decker premiered Battleship in Seoul, South Korea with fuchsia extensions woven throughout her updo. And this year, Chloe Moretz gave her long bob rosy highlights, Ashley Benson dipped her ends in a bubblegum hue, and January Jones added rose gold strands because she wanted “something different and fun.” We love how this look ranges from the subtle to the severe—so you can really decide how big you want to make your statement. Tell us: Would you ever try pink?

What’s old is new again! Fifteen-year-old Chloe Moretz recently landed the leading role in the forthcoming remake of Carrie, a character first made famous by Sissy Spacek in 1976. And the Stephen King thriller isn’t the only reboot coming our way: Carey Mulligan is starring in a fresh take on The Great Gatsby, while new versions of Annie and A Star is Born are also in the works. It’s not that Hollywood is fresh out of new ideas—it’s that these ideas are just so worthy of watching, generation after generation. Check out some of our favorites in the gallery.

You don’t need a gown or a date in a rented tux to be the belle of the ball! Kendall Jenner, Sophia Bush, Chloe Moretz, and Gabrielle Union all wore prom-inspired updos that aren’t at all cheesy, thanks to a few loose, face-framing tendrils. Try the look yourself by pulling out a few layers around your face after securing your style. Just loosely wrap strands around a medium-barrel curling iron, twisting the curl outward. Be sure not to wind hair too tight, the goal is to create touchable waves, not tight, structured ringlets. And hairspray is optional—as your tendrils become more undone, a new, prom queen-worthy look takes shape.

If you can’t wait for the Jason Wu for Target capsule collection, you’re not the only one! Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, Jaime King and Chloe Moretz were among the celebrities who toasted to the collaboration at the opening of a Jason Wu for Target pop-up store in New York last night, all wearing pieces from the lineup. “I get so excited when I see women wear my clothes,” Wu told us on the red carpet. “I’m such a nerd, I go up to them and I tell them that they look really great even though they don’t know who I am. I just think that for somebody to purchase something that I designed, at any price, is a true compliment and true testament to what I do.” We agree! The line officially hits Target stores and target.com on February 5th, so get your shopping wish list ready by browsing through the full collection in the gallery now.
