Emma Roberts (in RED Valentino) stayed closed to Hick star Chloe Moretz (in Dolce & Gabbana) after a screening of the new film at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City. “Can’t wait to see your pretty face,” Roberts Tweeted to her pal before the event. You don’t need a gown or a date in a rented tux to be the belle of the ball! Kendall Jenner, Sophia Bush, Chloe Moretz, and Gabrielle Union all wore prom-inspired updos that aren’t at all cheesy, thanks to a few loose, face-framing tendrils. Try the look yourself by pulling out a few layers around your face after securing your style. Just loosely wrap strands around a medium-barrel curling iron, twisting the curl outward. Be sure not to wind hair too tight, the goal is to create touchable waves, not tight, structured ringlets. And hairspray is optional—as your tendrils become more undone, a new, prom queen-worthy look takes shape.
