Everyone’s favorite action figures are going live-action again with G.I. Joe: Retaliation! In the film, stars Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, and Adrianne Palicki go head-to-head with the Cobra Commander and his team of enemy forces, so we caught up with Palicki to find out how she geared up for battle. “We were trained by Navy SEALs eight hours a day for a month straight, and they covered everything from stunts to unit training,” the star told InStyle.com at the launch for Axe’s Face line. “It was intense, but I was in the best shape of my life! I guess that’s what eight hours a day will do for you.” She had a similar rough-and-tumble approach to her beauty routine on set, too. “I don’t mind heat, but when you’re trying to look attractive, it’s really frustrating when all your makeup is melting onto your face,” she said. “Thankfully, [my character] Lady Jaye isn’t a girly-girl, so I didn’t have to worry about that, but I got to have one glam moment in the film where I’m undercover.” The best of both worlds!
