Tom Cruise Premieres Oblivion in Moscow, Plus More of the Weekend’s Parties!

Tom Cruise continued his world tour in support of his latest film Oblivion this weekend, making a stop in Moscow, Russia alongside co-star Olga Kurylenko (in Stella McCartney). The movie, which opens in the U.S. April 19, puts Cruise in another futuristic action-packed role as Jack Harper, as he is heads out on a mission impossible to an abandoned Planet Earth to extract any remaining resources. But once there, he discovers the world isn’t quite as abandoned as everyone assumed. Watch the thrilling trailer here.

Last Night’s Parties: Tom Cruise Premiere Oblivion in Buenos Aires

Last night, Tom Cruise premiered his latest end-of-the-world action flick, Oblivion, alongside co-stars Olga Kurylenko (in Nina Ricci) and Andrea Riseborough (in Elie Saab) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Set in the future, the film follows Cruise’s character Jack Harper, a veteran soldier who questions his mission to extract last of Earth’s resources after rescuing a beautiful stranger. Oblivion opens nationwide on April 19.

With Rock of Ages hitting theaters this Friday, we caught up with the musical’s cast to get the inside scoop on their ’80s-inspired costumes. “They had a lot of fun coming up with the wardrobe,” Tom Cruise, who plays Stacee Jaxx, told InStyle.com at the film’s Hollywood premiere. “It was a part of the character. In a movie everything helps, from the hair to the makeup.” Cruise’s co-star Julianne Hough was a big fan of his rock star look. “He is the sexiest thing I have seen,” she said of his Rock of Ages alter ego, ”besides my boyfriend, of course!” Click through the gallery to read more fun facts about the film’s costumes!
