After chemically straightening her hair for over a decade, Thandie Newton grew out her curls for two very important reasons: daughters Ripley (left), 11 and Nico, 7. “They love their hair,” the Oil of Olay Total Effects spokeswoman told InStyle.com. “Every day it looks different.” Although she has gotten online flack for their natural look, “I want my kids to be free and not be ashamed of any bit of them.” So she makes the grooming process fun. “I love doing their hair, we sit in the bath together and just kind of hang out and chat,” she said. “The key to [handling] curly, knotty hair is to take your time with it.” Certainly, her own gorgeous mane would inspire anyone to let their curls flow! Both actresses participated in the one-off charity show, which raised money for Women for Women International, V-Day, and Domestic Violence Intervention Project. “‘A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant And A Prayer’ in London’s Evening Standard.
