The Fragrance Foundation Awards took place in New York City last night, and it made for one of the best-smelling awards shows we’ve ever attended. Hosted by Dana Carvey, the event — known in the industry as the FiFis — celebrated the year’s biggest accomplishments in fragrance, and stars like Jessica Szohr (in KaufmanFranco), Taylor Swift (in Pucci), Dita Von Teese (in Maria Lucia Hohan), and Connie Britton (in Zac Posen) lined the red carpet to lend their support to their favorite whiffs. The night was especially notable for Swift, who was honored as the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year. She also took the opportunity to officially launch her new scent Taylor by Taylor Swift, which she wore on the red carpet (Editor’s Note: She smelled really good). “My first fragrance, Wonderstruck, was all about enchantment and represented a fantasy,” she told us on the red carpet. “Taylor by Taylor Swift represents me in my everyday life.” Scroll down to see the full list of this year’s Fragrance Foundation Award winners. The 2013 FiFi Awards are tonight! Highly regarded as the biggest event for the fragrance industry, tonight’s ceremony in New York City will honor the biggest accomplishments in perfume. Taylor Swift will be honored as the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year, and A-listers like Kerry Washington and Connie Britton are scheduled to attend. In April, we asked you to vote on which celebrity fragrance you think should take home an award, and after tallying up the poll results and reading through the comments, the results are in! Justin Bieber‘s Girlfriend scent won by a landslide with over 36,000 votes, while Nicki Minaj‘s inaugural scent Pink Friday came in second with 4,000 votes. Minaj and Bieber are going head-to-head for the Fragrance of the Year in the Women’s Popular category, with Halle Berry‘s Closer and Christina Aguilera‘s Red Sin scents also nominated for the title. Since the big reveal is tonight, we’re asking one last time: Which celeb scent are you rooting for? Scroll down to vote in our poll below, and stay tuned to see who takes home the scent-sational award. More
The hairstyles at last night’s CMT Awards challenged country music’s reputation for over-coiffed updos. Rather, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Kristen Bell, and Carrie Underwood all strode into the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville with effortless down styles that packed a dose of surfer girl appeal. While Underwood and Lambert opted for defined waves, Swift and Bell went the natural route with soft, tousled looks. The easiest way to get the look is to spritz a texturizer or beach-waving spray onto damp strands, then let your hair air-dry to enhance your own texture. We love Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray ($25; bumbleandbumble.com), which became such a cult favorite that the brand launched a coordinating shampoo and conditioner ($25 and $24; bumbleandbumble.com). If you prefer a more defined wave, loosely wrap sections of hair in alternating directions around a curling iron, then wait until each area is completely cool before you give your strands a tousle.

Summer hues were trending at the 2013 CMT Music Awards! AnnaSophia Robb chose pale pink Georges Chakra Couture, Carrie Underwood picked seafoam Edition by Georges Chakra before taking home the top honor of the night, Video of the Year for “Blown Away,” Taylor Swift decided to go for a champagne Elie Saab design, and Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry popped in tangerine Oday Shakar. Taylor Swift‘s RED tour may be in full swing, but offstage, the singer has been mixing notes of a different sort to create her third fragrance! Taylor by Taylor Swift gets more personal than ever, and mirrors her feminine style choices in the printed, light-catching flacon. “It’s a mix of a lot of things — it’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in,” she said of the lychee, magnolia, and vanilla orchid blend. “It’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume.” Although this scent is a departure from her Wonderstruck family of spritzers, one element remains the same — the star’s lucky number 13, which is hidden on the bottle among the mod-inspired pattern. Find it at Ulta stores and ulta.com starting next week for $60.

The music industry’s hottest artists celebrated a year in chart-topping records at Sunday night’s Billboard Music Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Legends like Celine Dion and Madonna (in Givenchy), who was honored as the Top Touring Artist, posed together backstage, while Top Digital Songs Artist winner Carly Rae Jepsen (in Dynathe) embraced Nashville star Hayden Panettiere (in Halston Heritage) as the two made their way into the venue. Meanwhile, the night’s nine-time winner Taylor Swift (in Zuhair Murad) shared a moment with BFF Selena Gomez (also in Zuhair Murad) in the crowd. The stars played peekaboo at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards last night! Celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Emmy Rossum, and Taylor Swift all chose to wear designs that incorporated sheer elements (and all by the same designer, Zuhair Murad). Lopez’s gold skirt was see-through, Rossum’s side panels were covered in polka dots only, and Swift’s royal blue mini featured a crackle pattern that showed off her shoulders. But no one tried to do sheer quite like Once Upon a Time star Jennifer Morrison, who walked the carpet in a completely transparent gown (save for her skivvies) by Kristian Aadnevik.
