We have an idea of what Sofia Vergara might wear to the Golden Globes, but what about her wedding? People StyleWatch reported that Vergara (who’s engaged to businessman Nick Loeb) has her eyes set on Vera Wang. “I want something modern and elegant. I’ve been married before, so nothing too traditional or crazy,” she explained earlier this week. We hear you! With Vergara’s penchant for sexy body-hugging silhouettes, we found six dresses that fit the bill (granted, we broadened our scope to include other designers). Click through to see the gorgeous gowns we picked out for Vergara’s big day.
There’s a reason Sofia Vergara looked amazing at the 2013 Emmy Awards—her red-hot Vera Wang gown was custom-made to fit and flatter her every curve. “Vera offered to make a dress for me, and of course I was very flattered,” the stunning actress told InStyle.com at the launch event for her latest Kmart collection. “My hair is blonde this year, and I wanted a contrast. She was willing to do two very beautiful red dresses in different shades for me,” she said. But what really had everyone atwitter (and tweeting) on Emmy night was when Vergara publicly announced she was wearing Kmart underwear. “I always wear Kmart underwear because they’re super-cute,” she told us. “Last year, I had a wardrobe malfunction and you could see everything. This year, I was prepared because you never know!” Her Kmart lingerie line launched late last year, and she’s been busy ever since creating new collections, including her upcoming fall/holiday line that plays up the aesthetics of her two favorite cities: New York City smart-chic and Los Angeles glamour. “I get very excited for fall/holiday because women want to look fancier, more elaborate, glamorous—we had a lot of fun picking materials and designs,” she added, calling out the black leggings with faux leather panels as one of her favorite pieces. And finally, with the Golden Globes right around the corner in January, we had to ask if she has a gown in mind. ”I might wear the leftover [custom Vera Wang],” she said. “It was beautiful, too. If I don’t find anything else, maybe I’ll wear that one because it was stunning.”

Guiliana Rancic showed off her $1 million Forevermark ring for two hours during the Emmys 2013 pre-show, and that was just the start of the 2013 Emmys Bling Ring. The New Girl star Zooey Deschanel matched her pale blue Chanel ring to her J.Mendel gown, while Girls star Allison Williams layered on a 19th-century Fred Leighton pink topaz rock to her cobalt Ralph Lauren look. But the biggest sparkle came from — no surprise here — Sofia Vergara, who accessorized her cherry Vera Wang dress with a 40-carat emerald ring set in platinum. She added on another 21-carat diamond and platinum ring and earrings covered in over 100 total carats of rubies, sapphires and emeralds for a total look worth over $7 million.

The film has received 15 Emmy nominations, including outstanding miniseries or movie. 4. LIZ LEMON’S FINAL HURRAH!
This is the final year for 30 Rock to be nominated, and its going out big! The 15-time Emmy winning show—which aired its final episode earlier this year on January 31—is nominated for 13 awards, including Outstanding Comedy, Outstanding Actress in a Comedy (Tina Fey) and Outstanding Actor in a Comedy (Alec Baldwin). 5. STARS TO BE REMEMBERED
A special tribute will be made to the late stars we loved James Gandolfini and Cory Monteith, who both passed away earlier this year.
After the CFDA Awards, it’s party time! Stars like Kerry Washington (in Jason Wu) and Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux) gathered in their best couture getups to fete the achievements made by this year’s fashion all-stars. Givenchy‘s Riccardo Tisci celebrated his win for the International Award with a hug from Jessica Chastain, and Elizabeth Olsen came out to support little sis and The Row designer Mary-Kate. Usually on the red carpet, the designers praise the stars. At the CFDA Awards, it’s the other way around! Celebrities including Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry) and Kerry Washington (in Jason Wu), Elizabeth Olsen (in The Row), and Romeo and Juliet stars Hailee Steinfeld (in customized Swarovski-covered Suno) and Douglas Booth (in Tom Ford) were among the celebrities who helped honor fashion’s elite at Lincoln Center in New York City last night. With the event celebrating the best of the industry, it has a different feel than typical star-heavy awards shows. “I presented at the Oscars, and I thought, I’m an actress, so I understand talking about acting, but fashion is a bit more complicated for me,” The Office star Ellie Kemper (in Naeem Khan) told InStyle.com. “It’s intimidating because I’m in awe of what they do!” Click to see what everyone wore.
Hollywood headed to the capitol over the weekend to attend the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C. The star-studded evening, attended by A-listers like Katy Perry (in Giambattista Valli), Sofia Vergara (in Herve L. Leroux), Nashville stars Connie Britton (in Temperley London) and Hayden Panettiere (in Katherine Kidd), Jessica Paré (in Antonio Berardi), and Gabby Douglas (in David Meister), was filled with laughs courtesy of the night’s host Conan O’Brien and President Obama, who poked fun at himself and O’Brien in his humorous speech. “I understand that when the Correspondents’ Association was considering Conan for this gig, they were faced with that age-old dilemma: Do you offer it to him now, or wait for five years and then give it to Jimmy Fallon?” the President ribbed (watch his speech here).
