Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson spend a good deal of screen time in Spring Breakers in neon bikinis, crop tops, and short-shorts—the film is about spring break, after all—and there’s one woman they can thank for their fun and flattering beach closets: costume designer Heidi Bivens. Bivens created each character’s collection of perfect (and often pink) two-pieces, and fans have loved the looks so much, she even collaborated with Opening Ceremony on a Breakers-inspired capsule, complete with the film’s signature unicorn emblazoned on tees, tanks, towels, and string bikinis. That’s why we caught up with the designer, who spilled on Selena and the girls, what it takes to wear a two-piece around the clock, and what you should be looking for in a suit for your own spring break adventure. It was a bestie reunion last night in Hollywood! Ashley Tisdale came out to support her High School Musical pal, Vanessa Hudgens (in Naeem Khan), at the premiere of her new movie, Spring Breakers. And the reunion didn’t end there: Tisdale then joined Hudgens at the film’s after-party, held at The Emerson Theater, where they were spotted smiling for the cameras. Spring Breakers opens today in select theaters, and nationwide March 22nd.

The stars of Spring Breakers traded in their bikinis for designer wear at Berlin’s CineStar Kino, where Ashley Benson, Vanessa Hudgens (in Naeem Khan), and Selena Gomez (in Atelier Versace) premiered the film. The movie, which depicts four college friends who rob a restaurant to fund their tropical Spring Break vacation, opens March 22. It also stars James Franco as a dubious figure named Alien who hires the girls to do some of his dirty work in exchange for bailing them out of jail.

“It was the Wild West of Theater!” is how Amber Heard described last night’s performance of the 12th annual 24 Hour Plays, a theater experience presented by Montblanc in which six short plays are written, rehearsed, and performed in a 24-hour time period, all to benefit the Urban Arts Partnership, which supports arts education for children in need. “It was the best time. It was a lot of fun it was the kind of environment that allows you to feel free enough to really enjoy yourself and experiment with new things and it was for a good cause.” Heard was only one of the 27 actors who performed at the American Airlines Theater, and she and her fellow castmates—Vanessa Hudgens, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Olivia Wilde, Jack McBrayer, Justin Long, and Jason Biggs (in his third year performance) included—all breathed a sigh of relief at the end, toasting to their success with an after-party at B.B. King Blues Club. More than anything, now they can rest. “I’m excited for sleep more than you can imagine!” Heard added. Click through the gallery to see more of last night’s biggest parties.
“They’re ridiculous!” Vanessa Hudgens told InStyle.com of her extra-long acrylic nails (we snapped this pic, inset) at the after-party celebrating the completion of the 12th annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway, a theater experience presented by Montblanc in which six short plays are written, rehearsed, and performed in a 24-hour time period, all to benefit the Urban Arts Partnership. Her wild talons actually helped her character—she played a just-out-of-school assistant with a very-green attitude, sharing the stage with Amber Heard, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Maura Tierney, and Anthony Mackie. Hudgens is crafty with nail art—she painted her digits herself: “Me and my little sister got acrylic long nails for Halloween, so they were red,” she explained. “Then I got bored, so I painted them white. Then I got bored of the white, so I got mint and glitter, so now I’m left with Easter eggs! It’s good for now, but they’re going to change soon.” As for the length? “It’s very impractical,” she said. “I could barely button my shirt!” What women do for beauty, eh?

Vanessa Hudgens memorably hacked off all her hair last July during the filming of Gimme Shelter, and it took over a year to grow it all back. But, yes, it did grow back! The raven-haired beauty posted a picture of her sleek, chopped blowout on her official site and titled “Freedom,” proudly stating, “thank god my hair has grown” and that she is “extension free.” Tell us: Do you like her natural look?
