#ThrowbackThursday: Sarah Jessica Parker Sits Poolside on InStyle’s June 1995 Cover

Apr 25, 2013 @ 11:29 am

Before she was Carrie Bradshaw and “SJP,” Sarah Jessica Parker was an up and coming 30-year-old actress with a head full of curly hair and a contagious grin. For today’s #ThrowbackThursday on InStyle’s Instagram, we’re looking back at our Hollywood’s Best Bodies issue from June 1995, when the toned star had some progressive thoughts on her workout routine: namely, that she didn’t have one at all. “I hate to think that the first thing people think of is my figure, but I guess it’s easier to have a relaxed attitude about one’s body if people say you have a nice one,” Parker told InStyle. “What I really thank God for every day is that I’m healthy. People should do things that make them feel good.” Amen to that!

Sarah Jessica Parker, Have the Best 48th Birthday Ever

Mar 25, 2013 @ 12:10 pm

Happy birthday, Sarah Jessica Parker! Even before she became known for her impeccable style and fabulous taste in footwear (hello, Manolos!), she was always a Girl Who Just Wanted to Have Fun. So, to celebrate her 48th year on earth, we’re taking a look back at how the Sex and the City star transformed from teen actress to full-fledged style icon. “Every picture I see of myself from [the '80s] is pretty embarrassing,” the formerly big-haired star told InStyle. “But I find comfort in the fact that I looked like everyone else; I wasn’t alone in making those insane choices.” Click through the gallery to see her most memorable beauty moments.

The Designer Who Loves to Dress Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson Is…

Feb 16, 2013 @ 3:00 pm

Parisian designer Vanessa Bruno loves dressing American women! Hart of Dixie star Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth (who modeled in one of Bruno’s campaign videos) are both big fans of Bruno’s feminine, classically French clothes and accessories, and the adoration is mutual. “[Rachel] is a fantastic girl. Love her,” Bruno told InStyle.com at the grand opening of her New York popup shop. “I think they all capture this very chic, Parisian, easy-going [attitude]—but I still have a little twist of American girl in a chic, easy way. They catch it very well.” Bruno also told us that Sarah Jessica Parker and Scarlett Johansson were recently spotted shopping in her Paris and Los Angeles boutiques. Luckily, if you’re not near a store, you can find her clothes on net-a-porter.com, otteny.com, and farfetch.com. Tres chic!
