Ryan Reynolds turns 36 today, but he doesn’t look a day over gorgeous! The husband of Blake Lively has had us swooning ever since his adorable-yet-hunky turn as Berg in 1998′s delightfully comical series Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza PlaceThe actor sure has grown up since then, and we would be lying if we said we weren’t a teeny bit crushed when Reynolds officially put a ring on Blake in September. However, a girl can still dream—his abs from last year’s Green Lantern continue to mesmerize us. Happy birthday, Ryan!

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s Wedding: “Real People, Real Love” Says Martha Stewart

Oct 16, 2012 @ 11:29 am

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s wedding was meticulously planned, with every secret—from her hand-draped Marchesa wedding dress to the picturesque southern venuecarefully kept thanks to a little help from Martha Stewart and wedding planner Tara Guérard. How did it stay so hush-hush? That’s what we wanted to know when we caught up with the pair at last night’s 11th Annual Martha Stewart Weddings Bridal Fashion Week Party in New York City. “It’s funny everyone wants to know how we kept it so secret,” Guérard told InStyle.com, mentioning that Reynolds gave her direct orders to treat it like a bank robbery (only half-joking). “They made me sign papers. I think now I could probably rob a bank and get away with it! That will be my backup plan when my wedding design and planning business goes defunct.” Laughs aside, there’s much to be learned the pair’s September 10th nuptials. “Brides can learn to be a princess for a day, like Blake,” added Guérard. “She looked so unbelievable beautiful and elegant, and honestly looked like a Cinderella on top of a cake. Every girl’s dream is to be a Cinderella and she was that night.” While more details will be revealed in the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings“I was just with them yesterday choosing the photos for the story,” said Stewart—the ultimate craft guru did hint at why it was so special. “It was charming,” Stewart said, adding that even their dog played a role. “Real people, real love, real nice, which is what I think a wedding should and must be.

We just can’t get enough of Blake Lively‘s wedding to Ryan Reynoldsfrom the Notebook-approved venue to her hand-draped Marchesa dress—and now we have an up-close photo of her diamond ring! The Gossip Girl star was spotted leaving the Boone Hall Plantation in South Carolina, where the nuptials took place, wearing a gorgeous (and giant!) solitaire sparkler on her left hand. The Lorraine Schwartz ring boasts a light pink oval diamond set in a rose gold band with pave diamonds, a match to her wedding band. Classic and stunning, just like the bride! (We’re also seriously coveting her supple leather Brunello Cucinelli luggage.) Some girls have all the luck…

It’s been four days since Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married (with a little help from pal Martha Stewart) at The Notebook Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. We already know that the Gossip Girl wore a one-of-a-kind couture Marchesa wedding gown, which featured a “hand-draped silk tulle bodice adorned with custom crystal and rose gold embroidery,” according to a press statement released by the brand. But inquiring minds (ours!) want to know more. Enter Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, who we caught up with at her New York Fashion Week show, where she told InStyle.com exclusively that working with Lively had—not surprisingly—gorgeous results. “She’s very creative, and she’s a brilliant stylist herself,” Chapman said of the actress. “She really knows what works. We’re good friends so it was a wonderful collaboration.” A match made in fashion heaven, we’d say. The Marchesa mastermind also told us that the bridesmaid dresses were blush. Until the photos are revealed, here’s everything you need to know about the celebrity wedding.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Got Married in the Actual House from The Notebook

Yes, it’s true. Living out the fairy tale fantasy of millions of ladies everywhere, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds swapped vows in the actual house from The Notebook, according to People. Turns out, the Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina—where Lively and Reynolds held their intimate ceremony, set to tunes provided by Florence Welch—is the mansion where none other than Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams first fell in love as Noah and Ally in the 2004 film that forever changed how we view kisses in the rain. But don’t get it twisted: Lively and Reynolds got married in the house where Ally grew up with her rich parents, not the white house Noah built for her to profess his undying love. So, who do you think has the better plantation romance: Blake and Ryan, or Ally and Noah? Tell us in the comments!

Blake and Ryan’s Wedding: She Wore Marchesa and Martha Stewart Helped Plan

Sep 10, 2012 @ 4:31 pm

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were married in a super-secret ceremony last night, and the intimate details are finally coming in! The couple, who met on the set of The Green Lantern, were wearing designer duds for their big day, with him in a Burberry suit and her in hand-draped Marchesa with rose gold embroidery (we guessed this morning that she might wear Marchesa). Though we’re still anxiously waiting to see a picture of her dress, we do know that she accessorized the look with a wedding band by Lorraine Schwartz. And behind the whole lush affair, which was held at the “Notebook plantation” in South Carolina, was none other than the Queen of Party Planning herself, Martha Stewart. (Blake’s a huge fan of the domestic goddess—she even stopped by her show once for a Halloween special.) “From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration,” Martha Stewart Weddings writes, with a promise of pictures and details about Stewart’s involvement in the magazine’s upcoming December issue. We can’t wait to see them!
