London Fashion Week has been a star-studded event this season! Justin Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, hopped the pond to support Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” collaborator Tom Ford at his fall debut. And a long list of A-list ladies sat front-row at Burberry Prorsum: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Freida Pinto, Rita Ora, Kate Beckinsale, Michelle Dockery, and more! Forget Fifty Shades of Grey—the pale slate lacquer Rita Ora wore is one gray tone you don’t have to hide! We love spotting fun nail art on the up-and-coming singer’s Instagram, and her latest crystallized mani inspired us so much, we went on the hunt for the exact nail polish she used. Ora’s manicurist Rebecca Wilson layered on an opaque ash base using Ciate’s Cream Soda before adding rhinestones and striped details. The color is available in Ciate’s Velvet Manicure kit, which allows you to impart a matte, flocked effect onto your digits. Experiment with a blinged-out design like Ora’s, or add a crushed velvet accent nail. Pick up the set for $19 or the single polish for $15 at sephora.com.

While some celebrities are embracing winter by wearing amazing coats, others are pretending it’s not happening at all. British pop sensation Rita Ora recently revealed on her Instagram that she took a dip in a peek-a-boo pool, wearing a white bikini and a gold headpiece. The singer also teased that she might be collaborating with rapper Snoop Dogg on a new song! Meanwhile, Olivia Palermo turned up the heat in neon orange while on vacation in Barbados.

There was no shortage of creative manicures at the 2012 MTV EMAs in Germany last night. Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora matched their digits to their dresses: Kardashian lacquered up in an inky noir to complement her Stephane Rolland design, while Ora tried red lace nail art to play off her Marchesa ballgown. Meanwhile, Heidi Klum and Gwen Stefani also used their outfits as nail inspiration: Klum opted for a bejeweled metallic design, drawing from the studded detail of her Versace lace-up dress, while Stefani added a crisp white statement nail to her two-tone Jean Paul Gaultier outfit. We love how the contrasting hues stand out against their outfits without creating a too-busy effect. Take a closer look at their nails, and see more celebrity manicures in our gallery!
The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Frankfurt last night! Germany’s own Heidi Klum hosted the evening, playing up her supermodel expertise by exclusively wearing Versace for the red carpet and during the show, kicking off her fashion show with a lace-up teal and gold design from the label’s spring collection. It was just one of the over-the-top wow-gowns to hit the red carpet, where she was joined by Kim Kardashian (in a Stephane Rolland design with a high-low hem), Taylor Swift (in ivory—not red!—J. Mendel), and Rita Ora (in Marchesa‘s blood red ballgown). Click through the gallery to see more MTV EMA 2012 fashion!
What’s better than turning 100? Turning 111! Bergdorf Goodman celebrated its birthday last night with a mega-bash at The Plaza, located across from its famous Fifth Avenue and 58th Street flagship. The New York design world came out for the retailer’s “111 Years of Extraordinary”-themed party, with designers and their muses covering every inch of the ballroom in the most extraordinary garb. The standouts included Coco Rocha in a Zac Posen bordeaux satin gown, rising style star Rita Ora in an old Hollywood-inspired white look by Emilio Pucci’s Peter Dundas, and Karolina Kurkova, who wore a Roberto Cavalli suit done in one of the label’s signature exotic prints. Other designer attendees included Thakoon Panichgul, Carolina Herrera, and Michael Kors. And, as if there weren’t enough showstoppers with the fashion alone, classical singer Sasha Lazard stopped by the party to perform “Happy Birthday” while a giant three-tiered cake—flaming with fireworks—was rolled on to the dance floor. Way to throw one “extraordinary” celebration, Berdgorf! Click through the gallery below for more photos from this week’s hottest parties.
It’s time for our weekly Instagram recap! Our editors spanned both coasts this week: We went to Will Rogers State Historic Park in Los Angeles for the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, to the Top of the Standard in New York for Absolut Tune’s launch party with Rita Ora, and out to the Hamptons International Film Festival where we spotted Sienna Miller‘s pretty accessories. Check out these and more of this week’s best photos in the gallery, and come back every Saturday for all of our favorite shots.
Rita Ora is pop’s new party girl—just listen to her hit “How We Do”—and her style reflects her fun music. “My music has so many varieties; it’s a little bit for everyone, and I mix my outfits in the same way,” the British singer told InStyle.com at the Absolut Tune launch in New York. “Sometimes I come out looking kind of boyish, like tonight, and sometimes I come out looking like a complete hip-hop ’90s baby, complete with beanie.” Menswear-inspired or not, the look was all designer, including an Emilio Pucci jacket, Roberto Cavalli blouse, Wes Gordon leggings, and Manolo Blahnik pumps, and Jennifer Fisher rings. Overall, though, she said: “My style is always different.“
